Broken, bugged game - do not buy!
Mac Russell, Amazon
7 July 2014
Summary: Do not buy this game. There is a massive, game breaking bug near the end and no one should buy this game unless a patch is released. Without online research about how to avoid the bug, the game may be unavoidably broken forcing you to ether give up or restart the entire game (when you're a couple...
Summary: Ran into a game breaking bug multiple times, inexcusable that it was never patched, forums were littered with folks who had the same problems I did. I would recommend NOT playing it even if you got it for free, much less putting your hard earned money towards it.
Great game play and fun story, if only I could play it through...

Summary: I give this game 5 stars for fun, creativity, game play, and the coop mode is great! I played strait through the single player and was staying up late to finish. I started playing coop with my brother-in-law and when we got to the 5th chapter, we couldn't go any further. It's a game wreaking bug.
Summary: Purchased this game because of its co-op option. Played it without any problems for a couple of weeks, but noticed that there were several bugs. Finally, during one stage of the game all other characters disappeared and our characters were just walking around in an empty LOTR universe with no one to...
Summary: This game was an excellent spiritual successor to the Norrath games until the game-ending bugs got to be too much to deal with, even after the patch. Maybe if a second patch comes out will try and pick it up again, but don't spend your money on it unless you want to end the game in frustration.
Summary: While the game itself is fun, there are so many glitches and problems it's not worth it. We put in at least 20 hours of co-op playing and are now stuck. Not in a "oh no, this is hard" way, but in a "the game is glitched and will not give us our next spot to go to no matter what we do.
Summary: After spending many hours playing the game glitched in mirkwood, which is in the begining of ch.5 when you start the level you fight a powerful enemy after defeating him the game will auto save.
Summary: My girlfriend and I started playing this game and we got about 20 hours in when we hit this game breaking glitch. what ended up happening is we didn't talk to a certain character At one point in the game so we were not allowed to continue forward and there's no way to go back and it is basically...

Summary: Im a huge fan of lord of the rings. I got to say, when I first started playing this game I really did not like it. It was hard to relate to the characters which didn't make it feel like a true Lord of the Rings experience. However, since I spent 55 bucks on it I forced myself to truck along.
A well integrated story with stunning Middle Earth vistas is marred by many significant bugs

Summary: War in the North has a linear plot line that allows it to cleverly integrate within the story line of the Lord of the Rings novel, and the visuals of the landscape and sweeping vistas of Middle Earth make for an enjoyable trek through Middle Earth for long time Tolkien fans.
