Game ending bug! Do not buy!
28 July 2013
Summary: My girlfriend and I started playing this game and we got about 20 hours in when we hit this game breaking glitch. what ended up happening is we didn't talk to a certain character At one point in the game so we were not allowed to continue forward and there's no way to go back and it is basically frozen. so from now on every time I booted my game and try to load my save file it just freezes.
Summary: This is an old game, so I won't write much about it, since most ppl. don't need a review. I just wanted to say that I DL'ed this game off of PSN, and that I was absolutely not a fan. I'm a huge RPG, action RPG lover, and this game was just not good. The camera is probably the worst I've ever experienced. The game froze in the first 45 min of playtime. There are 5-10 sec cutscenes all the time.
Summary: PS3 version: There is a glitch in this game that stops your game progress. You cannot proceed. After doing some research on the web it has been reported on all platforms, and there is no fix for it. We encountered it while trying to defeat the Carn Dum Captain. This bad guy never appears. There are several posts that say to join an online game then save once you get past that scene. However, the online gamining is no longer supported for the PS3 game.
Summary: Ran into a game breaking bug multiple times, inexcusable that it was never patched, forums were littered with folks who had the same problems I did. I would recommend NOT playing it even if you got it for free, much less putting your hard earned money towards it.
Summary: Sadly, this promising game stops working about halfway through- it's not a bad disk, it's a confirmed glitch that makes the game un-playable about halfway through. After a year of this known software problem the developers' only suggestion is to start the game over. Sorry, but I'm not giving another 20 hours of my life just to have it happen again. They should be ashamed- I won't buy another game from this developer again.
Great game play and fun story, if only I could play it through...

Summary: I give this game 5 stars for fun, creativity, game play, and the coop mode is great! I played strait through the single player and was staying up late to finish. I started playing coop with my brother-in-law and when we got to the 5th chapter, we couldn't go any further. It's a game wreaking bug. We can play level 1-5 as much as we want but since that is only about 1/3 of the game, we are stuck.
Summary: Overall the gameplay is fun. I enjoyed playing split screen with others. The problem lie in the game breaking bugs. I got stuck in the Mirkwood part of the game and restarted over just in case it was a one time thing. It was not a one time thing. While I got past Mirkwood the same bug showed up so I could not get past Urgost. Basically the game does not give the option to advance after that so you are stuck. Very poor quality control by the game maker.
Summary: Purchased this game because of its co-op option. Played it without any problems for a couple of weeks, but noticed that there were several bugs. Finally, during one stage of the game all other characters disappeared and our characters were just walking around in an empty LOTR universe with no one to fight and nothing to do. We tried everything, and since we had gotten pretty far, were just too annoyed by it to start over.
Summary: This game is honestly a great game. I love the playthrough (storyline is eh...) and overall enjoyed the game thoroughly. Here's why I gave this game a 1. The glitches are enormous in this game. Usually, you may find one to two minor glitches (a few major ones) in an average game. This game has more glitches than I have ever faced in my life. There are two MAJOR glitches that are luck if you don't hit them. There is the Mirkwood glitch and the Nordinbad glitch.
Summary: This game was an excellent spiritual successor to the Norrath games until the game-ending bugs got to be too much to deal with, even after the patch. Maybe if a second patch comes out will try and pick it up again, but don't spend your money on it unless you want to end the game in frustration.
