Game ending bug! Do not buy!
28 July 2013
Summary: My girlfriend and I started playing this game and we got about 20 hours in when we hit this game breaking glitch. what ended up happening is we didn't talk to a certain character At one point in the game so we were not allowed to continue forward and there's no way to go back and it is basically frozen. so from now on every time I booted my game and try to load my save file it just freezes.
Summary: This new edition made by "Snowblind Studios" is just what I was looking for. I wanted to replace my favorite PS2 game, with an updated PS3 version. Because Snowblind were the developers of both, I was willing to take a chance on it. And I couldn't be happier! But it is an old school hack & slash third person RPG, just like Champions: Return to Arms. If there is any other Champions: Return to Arms fans out there looking to replace it on your PS3, give this game a chance.
Summary: A lot of people have been commenting on how buggy this game is. Sadly, I was not spared the glitches. I was about just about the play the final chapter of the game when I got stuck between two checkpoints in Norinbad, and unable to advance any further. Very angry about this. The game itself tells a story not detailed by either Tolkien or CGI-obsessed nutcase Peter Jackson, but does take place in the latter's expansive LOTR universe.
Summary: I'm writing this review from the perspective of local co-op only as this probably isn't a game that would've appealed to me for single play. I think this is the first fantasy RPG I've ever played that used a split-screen as opposed to top-down model and I gotta say I love it; mainly because you can wander a good distance from your party to either hunt treasure or take down a troublesome enemy etc. and not worry about re-zoning or hitting an invisible barrier.
Summary: Beautiful graphics, great storyline and a lot of fun! Yes, the game has glitches and bugs! My first time playing LotR: WitN, I got stuck in the Mirkwood. The game didn't provide me with the staff to progress to the next mission. I was extremely disappointed because the game is really remarkable. I decided to re-play the game from the beginning and pay extreme attention to the game progress to prevent any glitches.
