Summary: I bought this game because I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan.The story is based off of Aragorn's adventures during the war of the ring. Overall, the game is ok, but looks really cartoony with unrealistic sounds when you attack. There also aren't that many different attacks for you to use. Overall, the game is not really challenging and is more for younger players. Because of this, I feel that Lord of the Rings Conquest is the better choice for older gamers.
Summary: I played this game on my friends Nintendo Wii system and loved it. The PS3 version of the game is a ported version of the Wii original. It is still fun and I did enjoy playing through the game, but the Wii version was far superior in every way. The Wii mote worked much better than the Sony PS3 move controller, and believe it or not the graphics looked a hell of alot better on the Wii, I don't think this game was designed fo the hd graphics of the PS3.
Summary: Ok so I was concearned about purchasing this game because of the poor reviews. I read that the graphics were awful..but the truth is they are cartoony but ..if anyone saw the demo for Sorcery at E3 youll notice that the graphics are the same....cartoony but HD. Yes the game play is not the most amazing thing. There is no blood or not a tremendous amount of enemies to fight but the game is still fun.
Summary: Just purchased this game tonight with the playstation Move. The game is a bit G rated to far, but I can't really rate it beyond that as the game locks up on the Mushroom Field quest where you have to get to the top of the hill.
Summary: The game itself is kind of fun and even Zelda-like to some extent. Some great voice acting and iconic LOTR locations are sure to please most LOTR fans. Now, the bad stuff. This game started as a Wii game and it was ported to PS3. The game is low-poly (blocky graphics), there is some screen tearing and the worst part is the way it implements PS Move. Unlike other Move games, you don't calibrate your Move controller when you start playing.. why?
Conclusion: Bought this game from a store since it was cheap. Was a bit suprised to see the graphics of the game. Was expecting a serious / realistic game (atleast that was the impressing I got from the cover) but instead you get a children version of lord of the ring (more cartoon style, no blood). I did like that you play basicly in 2 areas: 1 you play as Frodo (not the Frodo from the movies but a son of Samwise Gamgee) in the Shire.
