Summary: The game looks fantastic and I was looking forward to playing it with my son. However, 20 minutes in you have a ledge jumping puzzle in 3D where you carry a rock that makes you unable to fly effectively. Sigh. I may go back and get past it by myself, but for now I consider the game to be broken by design. It is possible to get past this, but an exercise in frustration.
Summary: Folks I purchased this game since I already owned all of the other Spyro games (PS1 & PS2). This game is nothing like the rest of the series. If you like the other Spyro games don't buy this one rent it first. Within the first 5 minutes of this game you will be fighting like Mortal Kombat or the Street Fighters series. You will have to learn combo moves and button combinations for attacks, defenses and special combos attacks.
Summary: I have only ever played the first Spryo before this one, and I have to say they are nothing alike. The graphics are great, but its more played out like a story or movie. You walk for a little bit then fight and it tells you what to press and then a movie comes on and does the rest for you. The 5 year old that I babysit loves the game though. So if your looking for a gift for a young one this game is perfect, but its not a fun game that teenagers and up will like.
Summary: I know that some will disagree with me but this game was very disappointing to me and my family. We have enjoyed the Spyro series over the years and eagerly anticipated this PS3 version. Unfortunately, the designers seemed to want to "upgrade" the game to be a much more complex and difficult game. At the same time, they eliminated useful capabilities that would make it enjoyable.
Summary: Was looking forward to this but finding it a bit disapointing. The colours
are not up to the usual sharpness and where as in a lot of games you build up
tolevels of difficulty after you know how and when things work, this seems quite
difficult from the beginning, as i said, its early days yet, so fingers crossed
