Summary: The Darkness, released for the PS3 back in 2007 was a surprise hit at the infancy of the "next-gen" console era. In fact The Darkness is the second game I played on my PS3 in beautiful HD glory on a (then) brand-spanking new 46" Sharp Aquos. It's no wonder I enjoyed the game so much. So when the Darkness 2 was announced for the PS3 I didn't hesitate in picking up the title. What's changed in the last five years?
Summary: The game play is just like the first, with only a few new added features, so if you liked the first game then you'll still love this. The only really bad thing I've got to say about it is that as a game it's just SOOOOOO short! It starts then after about 4 levels it's over!
Summary: It's a good game and funny at some parts but campaign is a bit to short for my liking and it feels like you are doing the same thing on every mission but The best thing about the game is Vendetta and hit list mode on online co-op where i had fun for hours playing with freinds
Conclusion: Great game but should of been much longer like the first. The new cartoon style graphics look amazing when your tearing someone apart and really does make everything 'pop' out of the screen, but for me the whole thing seemed less serious than the first, and with it being so short I just dont think its worth the price I paid, Which is why today im going to be trading it in for Uncharted 3 :)
Excerpt: Jackie Esticado is back and this time.... it’s actually not that personal, his girlfriend died in the last game, that was pretty personal. This time Freddy Krueger/Adolph Hitler wants to steal your imaginary friend that you’re actually not that fond of. So what’s the big deal right? Well it’s the sequel to an awesome 2007 videogame from the land of the Swedes now developed by digital extremes, who are Canadian.
Pros: Cool comic book style, lots of gore and guns, overall good action .
Cons: Weak story, not as stylized, too short, not as dark and gritty as the last game, too cartoony .
