Summary: I had so much fun blasting baddies with my shoulder tentacle monsters. The story isn't quite as magnificently heartbreaking as the first game (park scene ending with Jackie and his girl...sniff), but the gameplay is gratifying and solid. Gets a wee bit silly in the end, but perhaps that is to be expected from a character who grows barracuda demons out of his delts. Really great time, and a steal at the price.
Summary: I didn't think I'd like The Darkness series, but this game is actually pretty good! I haven't played too much of it yet, but I like it. It's story-driven, and is in a sorta 'comic book style' in visuals. Just watch any review of it on YouTube. I watched IGN's. I bought mine new for only $6, which I couldn't pass up! I needed a new game to play, and I figured this one would be a prefect candidate. It came to my home REALLY fast!
Summary: I fell in love with the first Darkness game. It was a very linear, but open, world. Unfortunately, The Darkness II doesn't have that, but what it lacks in openness, it makes up for with the very satisfying gameplay. I paid about 10 dollars for this game, and it was worth it.
Summary: Let's start with the good points. The combat, for the most part, is very satisfying. If you've played the first game in this series then you'll be familiar with the combat mechanics. In this game, the developers have simply refined and streamlined the system. Whether you use the guns or melee combat, the action is really satisfying. Above average story and a nice look to the game, but some of the voice acting is kind of lackluster for the mob characters.
Summary: The game was very exciting, the graphics are good, and the story was entertaining, the only thing that I don't like was that the game was very short, I really don't realize when the game was ended.
