Summary: The Darkness is one of those games that's sitting on the clearance shelves of most retailers for under $10 that not many people know about. When released the game didn't get a lot of attention and sort of flew under the radar of most gamers. I decided to buy a copy since it was recommended to me by a couple of people. The darkness is based of a comic book series about a young man named Jackie who has demonic powers that are only usable in the dark.
Summary: I picked this up for around ten dollars and figured that it would be just an ok game. It actually is a lot of fun with cool graphics and good horror themes. I think the hardest part for me is the extensive amount of things that you have to remember. I mean this guy can do a ton of stuff weapon/darkness wise and remembering what does what was tough. I might have to write it down! All in all a great bargain and I still have a ways to go to beat it!
Summary: Shut off the lights and jump into an amazing game. As a horror author, I can proudly say that this game manages to deliver an eerie yet enjoyable experience. Near the beginning of the game, you will gain THE DARKNESS. This consists of these demonic eel-snake things that come out of the side of you. They can run down streets, bite off faces, and even smash lights. There is a fantastic and gripping story to be had here, and plenty of side quests to keep you busy for hours.
Summary: I'm a casual gamer, and usually play for an hour or two before I get bored and move on to something else. This game had me hooked. The controls are easy to learn, and the game kinda leads you around to where you need to be. I've just beat the Easy mode and now will start the normal mode to see how bad I really am. I have not played the multiplayer mode. The game was really fun to play. The storyline may seem typical for expert gamers. Go there, retrieve this, kill that.
Summary: i have not finished the game yet but so far from what I've played i can say that it is a good game, it has an interesting story and it did not bore me so quickly due to the experiences the main character faced. i would definitely recommend it.
Summary: Forget what bad reviewers have to say on this, here's how it really is. An OK game that can be really good if you give it a moment. Con: you fire with the R2 buttons instead of the traditional R1 buttons. If 1/4 inch of finger placement is too much effort for you, you shouldn't own a PS3. Pro: The R1 buttons feature different attacks so you can shoot and use special attacks. con: Darklings aren't that powerful, helpful.
Summary: I'm a big fan of the darkness, it's where I spend most of my time because I'm so hideous... but alas, I have my video games. The Darkness is involving and has a good story line but all the obiligatory conversations with old Itallians and phone calls with ranting strangers can seriously cut in to your 'dishing out some Darkness' time.
