Dark Times Ahead

TotalPlayStation.com

  • Conclusion: The Darkness is a meaty, emotional, visceral experience that few games will ever be able to match. Starbreeze's next-gen debut hits on some many levels that we're almost scared to think of what they'll do next. Go buy this game ASAP.

PSX Extreme

  • Excerpt: When we first heard Starbreeze was hard at work on another dark, semi-free-roaming FPS with plenty of gameplay diversity and a compelling storyline, we were very much intrigued.

The Darkness

  • Conclusion: The differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are minimal. You won’t notice any graphical differences, as the game looks extremely sharp on both. The only real difference between the two is that the Xbox 360 version has achievements, whereas the PlayStation 3 version has accomplishments. They are exactly the same, except you don’t get any reward for your actions in the PlayStation 3 version, whereas you get Gamerscore in the Xbox 360 version.
