  • Excerpt: If neither of the Batman: Arkham games were made, I would consider The Amazing Spider-Man to be the best superhero game I'd ever played. That being said, I'm more than comfortable calling it the best Spider-Man game I've ever played.

  • Conclusion: The Amazing Spider-Man may not only go down as one of the best Spider-Man games but one of the better movie licensed games out there because it doesn’t feel like a movie game. Beenox did a great job of taking a movie based gaming and fleshing it out into its own thing.

Amazing Spider-man review: Spidey's best yet - but Batman can rest easy

CVG
29 June 2012
  • Summary: Every superhero has a power that developers need to nail. For Green Lantern it's the ability to construct literally anything imaginable - understandably, this is hard, and that's why there are no good Green Lantern games.
  • Pros: Traversing New York's a cinematic rush, Web Rushing enables superhuman swinging, Entertaining missions, neat social media angle, Expands the universe with new locations and enemies
  • Cons: See the film first - the massive spoilers here will make you rage like the Hulk, Stealth and combat is way behind Arkham City's, They forgot to design New York at ground level
