Summary: In a way, Tales of Symphonia was doomed to a sub-par score. Much of the Tales fanbase seems to have developed a severe case of nostalgia blindness towards some of the older Tales games, and none more prevalent than the ever touted 'best of the series'.
Summary: Mixed, at best. the GC one, Symphonia, was good and had a good ending... couldn't see why a continuation would make sense and was actually being not too trusting, because, continuation often fails, see all the continuations that already exists in RPG games, more to the point, FF.
Summary: As much as I was hyped for this game, but then I reflected back and I did everything already. I played the game several times on the Game Cube. I also 100% Dawn of the New World. This package offers not much new to the table, except that we get some bonuses that were Japan only and a few costumes...
Summary: Having played the original on the Gamecube i knew what to expect more or less and it didn't disappoint me but sadly the second game seems to have been made by someone who never played the first one to see what made it fun.
Summary: Addition since people seem so worked up about my opinion (my original review still stands below so reviewers can see why there's such a fuss): I played the original versions of these games, the gamecube version of Symphonia being my favorite of them.
Summary: This is a nice set but the American version was a lot better. The compromises to the European version include a different box design which isn't as impressive and the soundtrack CD not having it's own case but coming in the main game box with the track listing printed on the reverse of the inlay.
