Summary: I am not very good at this game for some reason. I just keep dying after a battle or two because hit points don't regemerate over time and I would need a million potions. I'm barely in the beginning of part 1 and I just don't like it. I've played other games in the "Tales of" series, but this has to be my least favorite.
Summary: The same great game I loved ten years ago! Only reason for the non-5 star review is that the world map camera is a pain to control and often zooms in so close on the character that it's impossible to figure out where you're going. I don't remember having this issue on the GCN version.
Summary: New HD graphics are fun and welcomed. If you are into Jrpg's for the price its worth it soon you will be digging into every cubard looking for apple jellys with out remorse for what old peaple it belongs to.
Summary: Just how I remember it from the Gamecube days. Ehh, not sure why other people are giving it lower rankings. But I bought this recently and coming near the end of the first game. I can easily say, it's still the same game. The graphics look better, the gameplay is still the same and everything you remembered from the first game is still here. Overall, I'm just going to finish with. If you played the first game or NEVER have played this game.
Summary: This is what rpg games in the US need to be like. Final Fantasy has gone so far down hill that I have branched out into the not so mainstream, Star Ocean, this, and Eternal Sonata. All of them are far more entertaining that what Square Enix has produced in the last DECADE. Square is making more games that are just like Tomb Raider or Resident Evil, and for the rpg player, that sucks. ToS is a refreshing reminder of what I grew up playing style and content wise.
