Summary: When I finally reached end-of-life for my third - or was it fifth? - set of GCN disks of the original Tales of Symphonia copies were going for hundreds. Two days later a friend texted me info on Chronicles every two seconds for three days. Not just text, but Facebook messages, voicemail, email...sadly, the special edition sold out in North America in about an hour, which meant me, on a three-hour bus ride featuring a broken antenna, lost out by about two hours.
Nostalgic. Fond Memories. But graphics don't look good in HD.

Summary: I played ToS on GameCube and beat it like 4 times. Great times. However, the graphics has aged quite a bit since its GC release. It has not been re-rendered or improved, just cleaned up. It looks like playing the GameCube ROM on an emulator (the actual graphics of GameCube games were actually really good, but they were down-sampled because the AV-out on GC was only 480P, so if you rip a GameCube game ROM and play it on PC, you get 720P HD much cleaner image and better...
Summary: I am not very good at this game for some reason. I just keep dying after a battle or two because hit points don't regemerate over time and I would need a million potions. I'm barely in the beginning of part 1 and I just don't like it. I've played other games in the "Tales of" series, but this has to be my least favorite.
Summary: The same great game I loved ten years ago! Only reason for the non-5 star review is that the world map camera is a pain to control and often zooms in so close on the character that it's impossible to figure out where you're going. I don't remember having this issue on the GCN version.
