Summary: The game has been fun to play. I am a little older and surf, so it is close. I played a game years ago that was about snow boarding and I can tell that the game was taken from that format. Some of the moves are not surf related. Still, this is a positive review.
Summary: Surf's Up is based on the 2007 animated film with the same name. You play a penguin who surfs (duh!). I actually liked the movie and just randomly bought this game one day. Story: The plot of the movie is never really used in the game. It of course has all the same names, locations, and people from the movie but it just kind of has you go from place to place for no reason. It's too bad that the story doesn't exist in this game but oh well.
Summary: I ordered this game for my 4yr old and I to play together. He loves it and so does the rest of the family. It is easy for little hands to manipulate and advances through the levels quickly. I would recommend this for the very young gamer. Older kids might get bored. Excellent value.
Summary: Too short for adults, but kids love it. I'm 32, and enjoyed playing until I basically mastered it and there were no new stages to play. If you've got younger children, this is a great game for them. Fun while the new challenges lasted, and is still fun for my niece/nephew who are 7 and 5.
Conclusion: Not quite sure what the negative reviewers were expecting ...it's obviously not gonna be a fantastic game for adults and is aimed at the younger person. My kids (3 and 5 yrs old) love it and the wife has been playing it as well. At a tenner you really cant knock it ... cant think of another PS3 game at that price.
Conclusion: This is great if you've got little ones. For £9.99 it's good value and my 2 boys love the 2 player battle. Yes, it's basic, but I think the packaging kind of tells you this is one for the kids!
