  • Summary: Clunky game play gets in the way of a cool story, but there are some fun parts to it. Get it if you are a die hard Woo fan...the cut scenes are great, but don't expect anything too engaging from playing the game.

Entertaining Game That Gives A Nice Mix Of Max Payne And Replacement Killers

  • Summary: The game is a good TPS game that nicely utilizes the famous bullet time though called tequila time here as you play a Hong Kong police office at first looking into triad crimes but then afterwords a more personal vendetta against them and their allies. The game is a fun and entertaining for what it is and while the graphics are obviously a little dated aren't as bad as you'd think.

  • Summary: Stranglehold is the most average videogame ever it's not good and not terrible, I do have a soft spot as the game did produce a fond memory of me and my mates being stoned playing the game and finding John Woo's name extremely amusing and making lots of jokes about it. The game itself is just a collection of gameplay elements picked from all over, the worst being a fist fight between cover based shooting and bullet time.

  • Summary: Not a bad game but the gameplay seemed unfinished. The controls didn't work for me. I always did stuff I didn't want to do and never knew exactly how to make sure I'd stay in bullet time as long as possible. I didn't know how to stay out off dodge and defend myself against enemies either. Maybe it's just not my kind of game.

Awesome game Stranglehold!

  • Summary: Awesome game, I like this game because when it comes to shooting your target its right on, I also like how the bullet slows down. Or you get to a part in the game where you earn, when your gun turns in to a machine gun for a short time, I forget what's it called, most of the game your doing a lot of shooting, sliding down rails, jumping up in the air and shooting, I'm glad I discover this game.

Sometimes, a Game is Just Fun and That's All It Needs to Be

  • Summary: I enjoy John Woo movies, and I thought this game did a good job of putting me in the middle of one. This is a solid third-person shooter with the added twist of being able to do some crazy stunts here and there. Lots of explosions and gunfire... what's not to love? There's action a'plenty without taking itself too seriously, and sometimes that's just what a gamer needs.

  • Summary: First off , I'm not a " Gamer" , I don't have the time to sit for 10 hours at once to play a video game, With a Family an job , I can only play a few hours tops , an maybe once or twice a week . this game is awesome if You like a " Shooter " game . The more skill You use the better the points . You have many types of automatic guns to fire as well as pistols, grenades rocket launchers . I'm not all the way though , but close .
