Storm Review

14 July 2013
  • Summary: Storm has an easy-going atmosphere that makes your brain work without being overly difficult, and it's all backed by a beautiful soundtrack. While that’s all well and good, however, it’s simply not enough anymore.
  • Pros: Thoughtful, unhurried puzzles with “just one more stage!” draw, Beautiful soundtrack
  • Cons: Occasionally frustrating physics, Lacks depth

Game Revolution
12 July 2013
  • Excerpt: There’s some weather a-brewin’. Storm is an enigma for me. I enjoy a good puzzle game, but usually there’s an element of familiarity to make for an easy entry, a sort of nostalgic focal point if you will. But there isn’t anything like that here. It’s not like Portal , with a clear start-and-end-point system and a gun with only two modes to use. Storm is not like any other puzzler I’ve played before, at least none I can think of without brooding.

Game Freaks 365
11 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Storm reminds me quite a bit of Dark Souls, but on a much smaller scale. Storm is a Zen puzzler that works on a few levels, but relies on trial and error far too often than it should. It is made up of four seasons, with each season comprising twelve levels. With the exception of the first few levels, most of these chapters will not only test your puzzle solving skills, but your patience as well.
