Review: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (Xbox 360, PS3)
28 October 2010
Conclusion: At only four to five hours, The Force Unleashed II is hardly worth recommending to anyone. Even diehard Star Wars fans will find it hard to spend $60 on a game that is worse than its predecessor in nearly every aspect, including the one that matters the most, the story. Perhaps the short length is the developer’s way of telling you “we really didn’t care at all about this game so here are a bunch of Force powers to use and a story that makes no sense.” It really is a...
Conclusion: Sam Witwer, an actor I now particularly admire, provides the voice and likeness of Starkiller, our protagonist. His character’s eventual redemption and switch from Sith badass to Jedi hero is clear and expected from the very beginning, yes, but he pours himself into the role like he’s playing Hamlet.
Conclusion: THE VERDICT: It's not what I wanted, it's not what I expected and it's fundamentally broken in many different ways. It's a callous cheat of a game, it's shallow, short and has a man doing a crap Darth Vader impression. Targeting is bollocks, the force feels underpowered and boss battles are terrible.
Conclusion: For any Star Wars fan, the real reason to play The Force Unleashed is the story. The story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice is also the story of the founding of the Rebellion. It does an amazing job of filling in the blanks between episodes III and IV, and presents a refreshingly mature take on the mythology.
Excerpt: : Can I just say I’m pretty excited about this review since it is the first one Evil Avatar has done with both a text and video review? Nick started with the game and got all his video squared away and sent the game to me with enough time to finish it and write a text review before the embargo lifted today. Neither of us has seen the other’s work, but we both agree on the final score of the game.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed review (Xbox 360/PS3)

Summary: LucasArts have a hell of a lot riding on this one - this is their chance to prove to the doubters that they can still make great games internally. Unfortunately, it ain't even Republic Commando, let alone Jedi Knight.
Summary: Wii verze - Na poslední chvíli se do redakce dostala i Wii verze hry.
