Not what I expexted

Summary: My last idea of Star Ocean was on PS1. Maybe it was just Nostalgia but the game controls and camera options made this game a drag from the get go. I have only played about 3-4 hours or so and it was pretty boring. Check out Final Fantasy if you have not already.
Summary: Pros: -decent battle system that rewards skilled players with extra exp, gold, etc. Cons: -Story is totally unoriginal, disappointing, and predictable -graphics are no where near what they ought to be -voice acting blows -long parts of the game that really have nothing to do with the overall story -battle trophies...wow lame... -game builds up your expectations and lets you down like that stupid tease in highschool Long story short, don't buy this game.
Summary: So many people are saying how amazing this game is that I picked it up. It has very generic style-less graphics and the music/sound effects are annoying. It doesn't pull me in on any level. There's no way to remove the cheesy logos from the main menu so I feel like I'm playing a really bad 16-bit game. Maybe it's just me. I have nightmares about the second Star Ocean on PS3 with it's painfully long prologue. The main character is named Edge! It's just so bad.
Summary: This game illustrates a lot that is broken with today's next-generation games. This game does have its good points. It was put together with a lot of technical skill: the graphics, models, and animations are excellent. The music is fantastically good. The user interface was pretty smooth--you can tell this company has built many of these games before. The game was a reasonable length, and all the levels were pretty detailed.
Summary: Probably shooting myself in the foot as I write this, but, this game suc...was not for me. I dont like to use guides or walkthroughs on my initial run and I like to think that after x-amount of years playing these things, I kinda get the idea. Combat: is not turn based, I guess it was real time...to me it was like I jumped out of Star Ocean and into Street Fighter IV...juggle moves...in an RPG? RLY???
Summary: First, the good - this release fixes one of the biggest complaints with the Xbox 360 version and adds an option to remove the AWFUL US dubbing, and restore the original Japanese language track. That's pretty much it for the good. Now, the bad. This is a thoroughly unimpressive button masher J-RPG with a dull, unoriginal storyline, the most generic RPG character designs in the history of the genre, and visuals which border on the embarrassing.
