Summary: This game was so promising! They had: -Same awesome group of characters from the legendary SSX Tricky -Incredible updated graphics -Same crazy tricks with a bunch of new ones But then they did the worst thing yet. Put you on somewhat normal tracks all around the world. They felt like they were all the same track split up into different sectors. So boring and so pointless. The best thing about Tricky was the insane tracks to match the insane physics/characters.
Summary: Ok first of all i would like to say that i have respected SSX over the years. I had even played the demo of this game prior to purchasing it, but i'm sorry to say that this game was very disappointing for me... why? The whole mechanics of the game has changed in the sense that you aren't having fun anymore... you're just trying to achieve a high trick score or best time possible... This is the only game i found myself restarting each event over 50 times!!!
Summary: A boring, joke of a snowboarding game. The graphics and gameplay are allright, my problem with the game is that it is just SSSSOOOO fake. I cant seem to like the not real not fun and not a good games.
Summary: There are a lot of things wrong with the SSX reboot, but the worst thing is simply the feel of the game. From the very first descent, I never had the feeling of being on the slopes. There's just no connection in the visual-audio feedback loop - the boards feel very floaty and slippery, and everything seems disconnected. This was a real disappointment, as SSX3 was really a fun game, and I kind of hoped this would rekindle that old flame. No luck.
Summary: I bought a pre-owned copy two weeks after it was released...i now realise why the previous owner got rid of it ! The courses are just too hard, and the rewind facility is so slow that "racing" is absolutely pointless. Where is the FUN that made Tricky so memorable ?? All you get is a set of Peaks to race down, doing the same thing again and again, and usually getting so cheesed off with the crash/rewind scenario that you just give up and turn it off..
Summary: I think most of the other reviewers have hit the nail on the head so I'm not going to labour the point. I can only say I wish I'd listened, insanely frustrating, not fun to play, when you finish a level its a relief not enjoyable or rewarding. Please don't waste your money.
Summary: Honestly, wait a few weeks and this will be in bargain bins everywhere. So many people returning it / part exchanging it for something else. Once you get out of tour mode it's woeful. It's a nice nod to the old SSX games which showed so much promise, but because they've concentrated on frantic button bashing and impossible combos, you lose some of the skill requirements (no manual balance control etc). It's like SSX used to be, re-imagined for kids.
Great if you don't have any friends that want to play in your living room

Summary: I love the game-play and the general style of the game, there's nothing here not to like for a fan of SSX tricky or any other SSX game. But be warned, there is no local multiplayer! This is essentially a racing/showoff game but without the fun of getting to race someone who's actually in your living room.
Summary: First of all I hate the maps, I do appreciate how much work has been put into them in the actual development and they're probably a little more real to life than the previous SSX games, however they are meant to be ride-able and that's where the level design loses my vote. The amount of times you'll end up making big air just to find out you've fallen into a bottomless pit is horrendous.
