Summary: This game it's for kids.. I'ts a good game but isn't like I thought. You got power when you are behind the other player, and the drift its not so GOOD. I just wanted to be when you gain more speed you have Power so you can Wrecked the other cars.. But I recommend this to you.
Summary: The special feature that this game has is the always popular, "get points so you can blow stuff up" feature. This feature is very cool, and I like how many different ways you can use the points. The problem is, is that under this feature, this driving game is bland as could be. Online play is fine. Sound is fine. What REALLY matters is how long it will take you to see the cloak.
Summary: Split Second is a decent game. It is in no way, in my opinion, one of the best racing games out there. At first, I was pretty intrigued by the game and what the storyline took on. However, after just a few hours of playing the game, the appeal wore off for me. It is not a bad game by any means however. I believe that this game was almost a test run to see if they could make it into a series. Why do I say that?
Excerpt: Driving in certain cars feels like you are driving on a frozen lake in Canada*, so unless your favorite movie is The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, it can get annoying when none of the available cars know how to grip the road.
Summary: I beat the game a little after 12:30a and boy was my adrenaline pumping! Anyways, on to the review. Spilt/Second is a racing game with a few things thrown in to divide it from the predecessors like Need for Speed. The controls were rather simple as a racing games controls should be. It seemed to flow fluently throughout the game and using the other buttons to trigger what is called a power play. That is where gameplay comes in.
Summary: Okay to start off Split/Second is a very challenging yet addictive game that you will fall in love with the first time you play. The challenge in this game was un-rivaled, it will make you go back and rethink which vehicle to use for a race and more importantly how to win. The controls were amazingly easy to pick up and understand unlike some more complicated racing control setups. Graphics in this game were VERY good, if you have an HDTV this game will look stunning.
Summary: If you want a pick up an play racer this is it, the game has a feel of the older burnout games. However the game is SHORT as hell, if you aren't even trying to beat the game you can beat it in about 20 hours of game play. The race tracks are slight variations of each other with a nasty habit throwing you into a new track for a major race, not cool.
Summary: PROS-split second, is fun, fast paced, and a great but not to hard of a challenge racing game, it has just the rite AI controll, but not to much to discourage you from playing. The tracks are great, just the rite length, not to long or short. The sound, well lets just say u will have to adjust ur subwoofer because when things get the blowing and cars get the crashing you will definitly know that u just been totaled.
Summary: I just bought this game, and all I can say is WOW! The graphics are better than expected. The gameplay is just off he charts. Its a very different approach to racing. Alot of companies that have been succssesful making racing games should really look in to the way Split Second is developed and should really look into making a version of there own the could be even better. I know I would buy it.
