Summary: This could have been good. Coulda been. The gameplay, graphics and presentation (especially in the begining) are great. The action and(surprisingly) drama are intense. The fighting uses the web zip attacks and it is actually quite useful and becomes the main entree in a supper of action. Okay that was terrible but you get it. The story is good but not great, and the voice acting is the same. If you are a fan of open world web swinging, you'll love this.
Summary: The Spider-Man 2 movie videogame is probably the best Spider-Man videogame to date. Playing that game really makes you feel what its like as the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Ever since that game, people really thought that Activision had got it just right, the perfect qualities for a great Spider-Man game, and gamers couldn't wait for future Spider-Man installments.
Good mechanics help Spider-Man rise (barely) above a web of grinding quests...

Summary: Spider-Man: Web of Shadows does a great job by starting you near the end of the tale, and pulls you in to it by then rewinding to the "beginning of the tale". It's a great story-telling device, and they use it rather well. They also did a great by teasing you with all the great moves and combo's you will eventually unlock. Of course, the big draw to this game is the power of choice. Red Suit. Black Suit.
Summary: PROS: -Spidey fans will love it since it keeps the roots of the comic filled with spidey history trivia and familiar faces -great story and plot you choose the side you want (red or black spidey) the story doesn't change much but the plot is stil very interesting. -Beautiful graphics, the city looks amazing and so filled with detail, also as the game progresses the city changes too great plus and there's a night to day effect on it.
Summary: I'm not a big spider man fan, but I got this game coz it's cheap now. I played for couple hours and thinking it's not a bad game. Of course, you can swing around between buildings in NY City. There are little missions that you can complete to get EXP points and upgrade skills. It's not a hard game so you don't have to squeeze your brain all the time. I gave a four stars coz I don't like the camera angle sometimes. Thanks.
Summary: This game has great fighting mechanics. They may appear to be a little jumpy, but then again, Spidey's lightning quick. It may take a few playthroughs to figure out which upgrades suit you best. Some of the combat techniques are visually amazing, such as launching someone in the air, webbing them, bringing them in, then getting a few hits in before you bat them away like a sling shot. The graphics are beginning to look dated, but I believe this game to be a classic.
Summary: Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is indeed a fun open world action game where you can play as the famous web swinger. It released in 2007 or 2008 so that means there's no trophies for it. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try. Plus, there are tons of collectible spiders that you can collect to increase you special ability meter. The combat is excitingly badass!
Summary: Spider-Man 3 was at best a second fiddle to Spider-Man 2, so now comes Spider-Man: Web of Shadows to give Spidey games the boost they needed with gamers everywhere. Despite a couple of professional reviews giving this game rather low scores (ahem:IGN.COM), this game deserves the praise it has received from its fans.
Summary: Well, for this game it really comes down to one simple question. Are you a big fan of Spider-Man? I've been reading the comics since I was 5, own all of the movies, most of the old games, and even have a tatoo of the black suit spider on my arm. I've also played nearly all of the Spider-Man games from the Super Nintendo ones to the N64 Spider-Man to the movie games and Ultimate Spider-Man on the PS2.
