Cool from what I've seen

Jr., Amazon
9 March 2013
  • Summary: Didn't buy this game for myself but for a friend, and from what I've seen it's a pretty cool game. Game play could be a little bit better but it's a good spider-man game overall

An overall great game with standout flaws

qazlkjh101, Game Informer

  • Summary: This could have been good. Coulda been. The gameplay, graphics and presentation (especially in the begining) are great. The action and(surprisingly) drama are intense. The fighting uses the web zip attacks and it is actually quite useful and becomes the main entree in a supper of action.

Awesome Spidey Experience, great supporting cast.

  • Summary: This game has great fighting mechanics. They may appear to be a little jumpy, but then again, Spidey's lightning quick. It may take a few playthroughs to figure out which upgrades suit you best.

Practically on par with the awesome Spider-Man 2

D.G.M., Amazon
28 January 2011
  • Summary: Spider-Man 3 was at best a second fiddle to Spider-Man 2, so now comes Spider-Man: Web of Shadows to give Spidey games the boost they needed with gamers everywhere. Despite a couple of professional reviews giving this game rather low scores (ahem:IGN.COM), this game deserves the praise it has...

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Matt, Game Informer
28 November 2010
  • Summary: The Spider-Man 2 movie videogame is probably the best Spider-Man videogame to date. Playing that game really makes you feel what its like as the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Good mechanics help Spider-Man rise (barely) above a web of grinding quests...

Adam Smith, Game Informer
28 July 2010
  • Summary: Spider-Man: Web of Shadows does a great job by starting you near the end of the tale, and pulls you in to it by  then rewinding to the "beginning of the tale".  It's a great story-telling device, and they use it rather well.

Good game for spider-man

Edward W. Yu "MeLoveGames", Amazon

  • Summary: I'm not a big spider man fan, but I got this game coz it's cheap now. I played for couple hours and thinking it's not a bad game. Of course, you can swing around between buildings in NY City. There are little missions that you can complete to get EXP points and upgrade skills.

Best Spidey game in a while

N. Durham "Big Evil", Amazon

  • Summary: Definitely the best Spider-Man game since Spider-Man 2 for the last-gen systems, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows takes the wall-crawler and his open world New York City to a whole new level.
