Excerpt: The more advanced games become, the more the little things will stick out. New York City is recreated as the world you get to save in Spider-Man 3: Collector's Edition . There's the familiar skyline you'll get to swing from as well as traffic, both automotive and pedestrian, roaming above ground, with subway trains tunneling below. The problem is that the more realistic things appear, the more we scrutinize them to determine if they're real or not.
Summary: Spider-Man 3 marks the fourth game from developer Treyarch to feature Marvel's popular web-slinging superhero. So with Spider-Man 3 being the first game in the series to hit the current generation of consoles, you might expect something of a leap forward for the franchise--something to really wow Spider-Man fans and take the series in a new and exciting direction. No such luck, it seems. Spider-Man 3 is a lot like the last couple of Spider-Man games.
Pros: Swinging through NYC is a lot of fun, Lots of content to play through, City looks excellent
Cons: Combat is either boring or frustrating, depending on who you're fighting, Camera constantly gets in the way, Technical glitches and frame-rate issues, Story is disjointed and doesn't tie itself to the film very well
Summary: Fantastic environment detail in most areas but poor character models and textures. Good sound effects whilst fighting but the lack of proper voice actors was upsetting. No implimentation of the SIXAXIS, terrible camera angles at times, occasional feel of button mashing resulted in a somewhat familiar gameplay. Replay Value Many tokens and side objectives can be found, but really no worthwhile reward for the completion of these extra goals.
