Summary: A very good story based game. The thing is, the story will make you hate yourself as a human. You will hate yourself, and everyone who has ever lived, is currently living, or will live. For such a low price now, I would definitely recommend picking this game up. I originally purchased it because of a recommendation from a youtuber and was not disappointed. I recommend not looking up anything about this game though until after you have beaten it.
Summary: Worth every cent I paid for. The game has a demented and often saddening course of events. I will not spoil the ending suffice to say it was intense as heck. Ammo is scarce and weapons are a bit diverse. Enjoy this nifty shooter game.
Summary: While the mechanics and graphics of this game are not anything to brag about the storyline and sound track are. From Jimi hendrix to the Black Angels there's some great music to be heard at appropriate times during the game. Which brings it full circle to the story, it's a compelling story of hard ethical and moral decisions that makes some war games popular. After a few years in the AOR there are some parts of the story that hit a little close to home.
Summary: This is not your typical shooter game. As someone who never got into the Call of Duty games, I love this game. You have a couple guys with you that you can command and you make decisions about what to do. It's really a fun game to play.
Summary: Spec ops the line is first of all very gritty unlike most shooters where it's killing all day with no consequences, this game focuses on the tragedies of war and the theme is dark. That being said it is a good game and is worth a try. The online is almost dead but there are still few people online, but the campaign is the main part of the game. This game is worth it and is a change from mindless killing of enemies.
Summary: Spec Ops is a fairly average third person shooter with a wicked plot twist. "So how are we going to do this?" "Kill everything that f'n moves." "Sounds like a plan." ... that's the game. It's a tried and true formula, and for the most part, it works. There are, however, problems with the game that just downright frustrate. The main gripes: 1) Taking cover in the game is hit-or-miss if you're not directly facing the barrier.
Summary: great game, esp the well discussed plot points. but the gameplay mechanics need work. there might have been a reason to adjust the gameplay to play sluggishly for the story, however i felt there were better ways to enhance the story experience.
Summary: Make no mistake, you are not the hero of this game. You'll start out feeling that way, but by the end of the game you're thinking that all of those people would have been better off if you'd never arrived. It's like the way you felt in Shadow of the Colossus, when you realised what a jerk you were for killing all of those previously-peaceful creatures.
