Summary: Great game. Short story, but the characters and background look amazing. The players moves are very variable, and fairly difficult to execute, but overall a very fun and challenging game in the fighting genre.
Summary: Overall, this game is a great pickup for $30.00. The game has great graphics and the fighting on the game is pretty great as well. The online mode can be a bit frustrating at times, but it's not insane. If you have the money laying around and you're looking for a fighting game, I would recommend you choose Soul Calibur V.
Pros: Little to no lag during online play, unlike Soul Calibur 4 Still wide array of creatures Easy use of Edge Attacks compared to previous Soul Calibur versions Gameplay faster, but kept with traditional Soul Calibur
Cons: Some major changes in movesets than previous Soul Calibur versions Little to no story mode (only 1 character with many gaps in character storylines) Creation mode less items available than previous Soul Calibur versions (must purchase)
Awesome game, amazing new features, really enjoyed it!

Summary: i did love SoulCalibur 3, SoulCalibur 4 changes were kinda weird and both were a bit slow phased for my taste, but this one feels fantastic! the graphics are better than SC4, haven't play story mode but it cant be worse than SC4's story, anyway i don't feel its of great importance in a fighting game, i love the improvements made to combat, the character selection could use more space and the card style used in the custom selection is kind of annoying because is not that...
The Soul Still Burned In the Heat of Battle, but Everything Else Made Me Sad Face :/

Summary: Soul Calibur 5 is flashy, complex, and features a bevy of fantastic changes to the franchises design. A good majority of the moves and combos, as well as the counter system, have all been reworked and simplified. On top of that, the game has added a meter that slowly builds, allowing players to unleash stronger Brave Edge attacks or super-powerful Critical Edge attacks. Both of these mechanics are lifted directly out of Street Fighter 4, and add whole new dimensions...
Summary: In this installment of soul caliber, the CPU will just bombard you with never-ending chain of attacks, just spamming them trying to perform every move on the list. Its hard to master it too with the extremely difficult street fighter format.
Not as good as Soul Calibur IV, but still pretty good

Summary: It's true, it's not great for single player, since there aren't as many single player modes as in SCIV, but the graphics and gameplay are still rock solid. Also, armor breakage seems to be less, and buying clothes doesn't really occur in this game although you can eventually unlock clothing. Heck, regardless of it's shortcomings, Soul Calibur & Dead or Alive still remain the best and most realistic games of the fighting genre.
