Summary: Let me sum this review up with one question: Do you like playing 3D fighting games like Soulcalibur online? IF YOU ANSWERED YES, buy this game now. It's everything you're looking for, and more. The fighting is super solid, there is plenty of multiplayer content, and the entire game was designed around multiplayer.
Summary: SOUL CALIBUR 4 WAS THE BEST ONE YET! THIS GAME DOES NOT HAVE THE NICE FLUID MOVEMENTS OF THE PREVIOUS FIGHTING GAME. IT IS LACKING IN DEPTH AND SEEMS BARFED OUT FOR PROFIT. THE STORY IS COOL BUT KIND OF GENERIC. ITS JUST DULL.
Summary: The new characters are terrible, there just copies of others and they're actually worse than the original characters. It's also been bit by the we want to be street fighter bug, all about combos/speed and not about tactical placement and timing. The CPUs cheat, they'll do the same moves in a 4 times in row. They seemingly change difficulty during battles, going from hit sponge to kill you in 15 seconds of a massive overpowered super combo.
If you're looking for an awesome Soul Calibur game, pick up the fourth one.

Summary: Pros: Graphics are better, stuff is more flashy, character creation is much better, stages are a bit more interesting than the last game, and better online play. Cons: The new characters aren't as interesting as the old ones that they replaced, single player has been reduced to: arcade, harder arcade, story, training, and quick battle, the story mode isn't as long or as fun as the previous games were, it also does a pretty bad job with characterization, overall, the...
Summary: First of all lets get the bad out of the way. This game is a decent fighter but it is highly unbalanced and many fighters have cheap moves. Fighting nightmare can be a nightmare if you win the first rounds he will resort to cheap tactics. Fighting online is really bad high disconnection rates and lag probably the worst of any fighting game besides Tekken Prime 3ds.
Summary: After tons and tons of hype, SCV finally released with a hearty slap across my face as I realized exactly how far this franchise has sunk. Allow me to break my review into sections. GAMEPLAY: The gameplay of SCV is the same as its predecessors, only ten times as frustrating. The AI is absurdly cheap, and constantly spams the worst moves and combos over and over until you beg for forgiveness. But the biggest slap in the face comes from the single player gameplay.
Summary: This is the worst Soul Calibur ever. I don't even know where to begin. I must admit the graphics are superb and the fighting system is just as good as I've come to expect from the Soul series. However, it takes much more than that to make a good fighter. The first misstep that this game took is the character roster change. This game takes place 17 years after SCIV so a new roster would make sense.
Summary: Dear friends how do I tell that if you've been playing this series since the start your favorite characters are now gone! Replaced with mediocre knock off like Malibu barbie ninja and so many others. Few of the originals exist and even they cannot save the game or it's flaws. To start off story mode is a crock at best forcing you to play as characters you could care less about.
Summary: I preordered this game so my expectations were high and initially I was more than satisfied. The gameplay mechanics are well done and the game seems fair even when the difficulty is raised. The create a character feature is done well and is a lot of fun to play with. However, my complaint is the same as most people in that there just isn't a lot to do outside of online. Comparing this to Tekken 6 (which I love), the single player experience is very short.
Summary: I really don't know what to say, I mean ive been a fan of Soul Calibur since Soul Blade to IV. But this soul calibur is the worst one out of all. Let me explain, the setting is 17 years after the events of Soul Calibur IV. Which means some of your favorite characters are maybe dead or retired. But heres the thing, the game doesn't explain what happened to the characters, you either have to look it up on the internet or ignore them.
