Summary: I need to start by saying I am NOT comparing the graphics in this game to the new PS3 games but to the original games themselves. I vividly remember playing and watching my mom play Sonic games on the Sega Genesis back in the 90's. I partly bought this as a game she can play when she comes over as she doesn't like the new generation of games. When the game arrived and we got it started we were really disappointed with the graphics.
Summary: I have fond memories of Sonic the Hedgehog from my youth, even though my family never had a Genesis (played at friends' houses and such). So to get that plus a bunch of other Genesis games for such a low price seemed like a steal. Most of the other games I haven't really enjoyed - though a Genesis buff may like them for nostalgic sake - and even Sonic disappointed.
Summary: Ok, so my husband and I ordered this game last week and just recieved today. Couldnt wait to play some Sonic!! The quality is def old school, would've liked to see it updated like they did with the new Donkey Kong for Wii or The New Super Mario Bros for Wii. But other than that, so far it def brings back memories. Also wish they would have reformatted/reprogrammed the controls to take advantage of the PS3 controllers.
Summary: It's certainly a good deal to get all of these games for one price but that's about where the fun ends for me. 1) I remember playing all these games as a kid but the nostalgia quickly wore off. 2) Saying that these games are now in HD is a complete lie. They are not in Hi Def - they have a border around the 4:3 screen. It's the same it was on the Genesis only with a border around the game. Pretty lame if you ask me.
A good compilation with some overlap and a few missing games.

Summary: I have to be honest, I have very fond memories of the Sega Genesis console. It was the second gaming console that was purchased for me during my childhood (after the NES). I remember playing Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time and thinking the Genesis was the best console ever made (remember I was a kid). Over the next couple of years that feeling continued when I played games like Streets of Rage, Comic Zone, Vectorman, and a few games that I will mention later.
Summary: I would recommend this game for anyone with a nostalgia craze. It's a great collection, nicely put together. Although, the games are much harder than I remember! If you're a fan of the old genesis games, this is a great buy. Otherwise, it will probably collect dust like your old Genesis.
A great deal for old school gamers? Yeah. But, it lacks key titles.

Summary: I got a great deal on this game (paid about $10), and I really can't complain getting close to fifty classic games for that price. I had a Genesis growing up (in fact, I still do up in the attic somewhere) and I have a lot of great memories of playing some of the games on this disc. Although they do feel dated now, and aren't nearly as fun as they used to be, this is to be expected.
