Summary: I would post a long write-up for this game. However, I am simply convinced that Sonic in HD isn't really what we need. The simple days of Sega Genesis are gone and now we have crazy transitions and somewhat fancier environments. This actually doesn't help the feel of the game - surprisingly. I never had the feeling that I was going to have an epilepsy moment when I was a kid playing Sonic 2 on Genesis, but this game actually gives me motion sickness.
Summary: Is it a new Sonic game or an old one? You can play as if it's either, but I'm just not getting into it. My kids tried to play it a couple of times but have basically relegated it to the bookshelf. It doesn't look like it will ever see much playtime.
MIX 1 part pure sonic 2D goodness + 1 part pure sonic 3D crap

Summary: I want to start by saying I'm a sonic fan. I've bought the many sonic games over the years because the early sonic games were so good. Sonic Generations has some of that classic 2D sonic restored. The first level is a remake of the Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1, the 2nd level is the Chemical plant from Sonic 2, the 3rd is the Sky Zone from Sonic 3... and the rest are remakes from 3D sonic games........ The portion of the game that involves the 2D sonic are awesome.
Summary: I have played the game and for me its not a fun game- maybe because I'm not good a sonic games, but I just feel that you don't have to much control of the game and that you only have to memorize the stages and nothing else.
Summary: I'm a lover of the original master system sonic and haven't played a sonic game for years since. This edition is a good game but I found it to be far to fast, you rush as quickly as possible to the end of each level and don't have time to soak up any of the scenery. It's good for a couple of plays but didn't keep me hooked for very long.
