Summary: As many have said, this game is really different from other SOCOM games. It tries to do a few things differently but in the end it's lackluster. I have played all of the previous SOCOMs and had high expectation for this one, but unfortunately it didn't impress at all.
Summary: As a fan of the original SOCOM's on the PS2, this game totally strays far from its original roots. A very poor OTS Camera view with tons camera collision, random bullet spray instead of actual recoil, and a cover system that promotes heavy camping.
Summary: I was completely unimpressed by the lackluster story and its' half assed attempts at trying so hard to pretend it's original. The shooting mechanics are atrocious and nobody should have that much recoil while shooting a weapon.
Summary: If you purchase this game expecting a "SOCOM" title you will be SEVERELY let down. This game has gone away from the true roots of the series and has moved the title to be more casual player friendly.
Summary: IT'S THIRD PERSON!!! I own COD Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2, but bought them both on Craigslist so the company wouldn't benefit. MW2 is ok and Black Ops totally sucks, but I refuse to purchase games, that are in first person view, brand new.
Pros: It's third person!!! I like having two teams to control. They have an easy option and don't start the game on a difficult level.
Cons: It sucks. It looks too much like COD and doesn't look real. The four PS2 games looked much better and seemed more realist and practical to me. I also hate having to earn weapons and attachments while I play the game. It should be offered at the beginning. I'm sure the real SOCOM Tier 1 Operators ...
