Excerpt: First off, if you do decide to pick up Siren: Blood Curse (and if you're a survival horror fan you should), know that the song that plays whenever you select it on the PS3 media bar is probably one of the creepier things you'll hear from a game this year, so make sure something else is selected before turning off the game. Getting to the actual presentation, Blood Curse is the downloadable semi-sequel to the PS2 game.
Conclusion: Siren Blood Curse is an amazing horror series that you will love from start to finish. It’s very reminiscent of Resi and Silent Hill with its style, but it makes it its own with a killer story and some great memorable characters. It won’t change the genre, but it just makes it that bit better.
Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Blood Curse may lurk within the shadows of convention, but those shadows have seldom seemed more oppressive. Stringently linear, but none the worse for it. And damn good value for money, too.
Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Nowadays, the movie industry is obsessed with one particular genre: The Horror flicks. But its sister-the gaming industry- had always welcomed and praised any amount of bone chilling titles it could get throughout its life span. For more than 15 years we have witnessed the unrest and discomfort the games like Alone in the dark, Resident evils and Silent hills have brought us.
Conclusion: Siren has moments of frustration and uneven difficulty, and the story is pretty insane in more ways than one. Even still, it's a good, spooky horror adventure, and worth a look if you've got 10 hours and 40 bones to blow.
