This game has been published by Play Station 2 by Sony Entertainment. Until the present, there have been many versions of this game which have been launched in different parts of the world. The game first was launched in UK and Australia. The Play Station 3 version is also in the market now.

The SingStar game is a karaoke game. It is released in English in many versions although you also can find non English versions now. Open source solutions can help you in finding the compatible version to play on your computer or TV. In this game the players usually sing along and thus score points. It is in fact a very entertaining game for the music lovers. This game can be played in teams. A total of eight people can play it together in the form of 2 teams and the team who gets the highest scores wins.

Review Summary

SingStar is a singing game experience almost similar to Karaoke. You can sing into the microphones and follow the little blips and watch music videos. The battle mode, the duet mode and pass the mic are all played in the same way. The interface is only a little bit different, pressing the start button opens a new and simplified menu, the songs are in alphabetical order at the side of the screen, and mini-music videos have replaced cover art. What makes SingStar different worth buying, is the addition of the Singstore. PS3 allows you access to a catalog of hundreds of downloadable songs featuring the real artists and videos, via the PS3 online SingStore. You can go online and you can download your own tracks from a much larger library. Choosing your own songs and having them stored on your hard drive makes Singstar PS3 more like your own pesonnal collection. However some reviewers find that most of the songs in SingStar are monotonous and boring. They qualify it as a case of trying to please everybody while not really pleasing anybody. But with the SingStore and the constant flow of new content makes it a game that will last as long as Sony’s console does.
