Summary: Despite all of the negativity it gets, Silent Hill Homecoming is not a bad game. As a Silent Hill game, however, not really. While it does have a charm of the originals, it's only because it has a very similar story to Silent Hill 2. The gameplay is fun and easy to get a grip of, except this time it's more action-based and takes the scariness out of the enemies, since you can easily dodge their attacks.
An Amazing Modern Twist on the Silent Hill Game Series. Loved It!
11 May 2013
Summary: Let me say this first: I am a die-hard Silent Hill fan. I have played every game in the series except for Downpour (I will be playing it next) and Book of Memories (because I'm not buying the Play Station Vista). Now that we've gotten that out of the way... Silent Hill Homecoming is not your traditional Silent Hill game, but honestly I didn't expect it to be.
Summary: i think it is obvious why does anyone buy these products. i am a big fan of the silent hill series. i would like to share with other buyers or users of the ebay familly, that i am more than pleased with this product. i very much recommend it to everyone else who is interested in buying this product or in general crazy about the silent hill series as myself.
Summary: As an avid SH player playing SH1, 2,3,4, and Shattered Memories, I had reservations. One - it was for PS3 and Two - Shattered Memories in my opinion sucked completely. This game is from a western developement team, as did Shattered Memories (hence the reservations), so it has a different feel from SH 1-4. However, it stays close to the overall ambience and psycho thrills of previous SH games (Shattered Memories excluded).
Summary: Its a pretty good game worth keeping but not a must have. its everything I expected from a silent hill game very scary. You don't know whats going to jump out at you the enemies are tough but beatable. the puzzles are challenging.
Summary: This is the first Silent Hill game I've played. And I really liked it, I'll probably end up getting the rest. I love how creepy it is and the whole ghost town which is Silent Hill. I love horror movies and this game is sort of like one. Sitting in the dark alone, playing this game at times you get freaked out. But I love it and will definately check out the other ones.
Summary: So obviously Game Informer's retarded rating of 6.5 didn't do it for you, huh? I must admit, when I first read through their review of a highly anticipated Silent Hill game for me, I walked away in disappointment. I was looking forward to this game! How could it not be good after everything Konami was promising?
Summary: Alright so i reviewed this game awhile back stating that it was a classic and what not but i reviewed this game right after i beat it and my review back then was a bit skewed out of excitement than actual game play and relation to the silent hill franchise. So as far as this game goes i do think it is really good, the story is engaging, the music is great, as usual, and the voice acting is right on par.
