Summary: This game not only has terrible graphics, but the combat system and AI is crap. You will get glitched in a corner and anything over 2-3 enemies will usually end in your death. Simply a frustrating POS meant to resemble the original games.
Summary: As a fan of Silent Hill since the beginning, believe me when I say that this title undoes everything that made the series unique and enjoyable. The strong points of the series have always been atmosphere, design, and sheer compelling mystery. Homecoming fails on all of these points. I think you should know about the game's overwhelming flaws in some concrete detail before you decide whether or not to buy it.
Summary: This game is beyond frustrating. Bad game mechanics, a game breaking glitch, and overall just a bad experience. The story line is okay, but if you've played previous SH games than you realize how poor this game is story wise.
Summary: I really wanted to like this game. The scenery, the music, it's all very atmospheric and very creepy. I like that. The gameplay, well that's another story. The save points are few and far between and the ammo and health power-ups are rare, which makes for a punishing and ultimately frustrating gaming experience. The PS3 version has a glitch in the "Hotel" level that others have reported on the Internet and the only way around it was to restart the game.
Conclusion: If you use inverted controls do not buy this game. There is only the ability to invert the aim and not the camera, so when you are running around you constantly find yourself looking at the ceiling or floor!
