Summary: I am a silent hill fan that has played every single silent hill, what I can say for downpour I prefer to call it silent hill 8 though... is that its an okay game its worth playing but not great. Here is a little review for what I think of this game.(don't worry I am not going to spoil anything.
Summary: The graphics in this game are really nice in my opinion The atmosphere is good and I like the way you open the doors with the sneak view. The puzzles are hard for me, and I had to look online for help. The controls when attacking and aiming really annoyed me, and the enemies are very repetitive.
Summary: This game is not at all creepy. The story is kind of lacking depth. The combat is annoying as H.e.l.l. and the game is just all over the place buggy. Then what kept me coming back to the this game, because, i loved homecoming the story was amazing the ending was A little dark but overall it was...
Has Good and Bad elements in equal amounts. Very uneven experience.

Summary: I loved most of the silent hill games. This one was only ok to me due to how uneven it was. It hit some decent high notes with a new approach to the other world and exploration(not everyone will like it though).
Summary: I'll start with what the game got right... 1. Scenery. The town has a good Silent Hill feel to it (though you'll never explore it at night, which is disappointing). But the roads which end in a sheer cliff are there, the houses with boarded up doors, random abandoned vehicles, all of that has the...
Summary: I am a long time fan of the original Silent Hill Quartet but lost interest in the series after Silent Hill 4. I have not played any the subsequent games: Origins, Homecoming, or Shattered Memories until Silent Hill Downpour.
Summary: Plenty of reviews on here already that cover much of what this game has to offer, so I think I will just keep it short and sweet with a "Good" and "Bad" list. This list is primarily for Silent Hill fans who are still debating about whether or not to pick up this chapter in the series.
Summary: Let me start by saying that I am a die-hard Silent Hill fan. I played the first game when it was released in 1999, which made me about 12 years old (my parents obviously made a very "wise" purchasing decision at the time) and bought every subsequent game (aside from the Japanese play novel and...
Summary: This was a pretty average Silent Hill with no real freaky parts. The main
problem with it was the limited number of individual ‘bad guys’. It did have
an interesting story line which did make me want to play more and was made
longer and a bit more interesting with the ‘side quests’.
