Summary: I am a huge silent hill fan. I have played nearly every game in the series (1-downpour, missing Homecoming) and this game was a major disappointment. Right up there with Shattered memories. The only reason it is slightly higher than Shattered Memories in my book is because you can actually fight enemies. This game had major lag and even froze up on me more than once. I beat the game in just a few hours and was shocked to find how little was actually in it.
Summary: The Silent Hill franchise is one that very is so beloved, that recent sequels get scrutinized to see whether they deserve to be called a Silent Hill. It is my opinion that Silent Hill Downpour is deserving of the name, due to its story and its depiction of the fabled town. The first 3 Silent Hill games set the ambiance and rules for the town of Silent Hill. The first one and third one set up the back story of how the town became.
Summary: Good for scares on a dark cold night. Really don't play it while you are home alone and with the lights off. It is not the best Silent Hill but it's a way to continue the series. Need more Silent Hill.
An Overall Entertaining Addition to the Silent Hill Series

Summary: I would highly recommend this game to any Silent Hill fan who truly appreciates the atmosphere and disturbed experience between the lines of the main storyline. Despite the many mixed reviews I have read on this game, from my personal view I believe this to be a very fun and entertaining game. One thing I have always wants to do since the very first Silent Hill game is to be able to explore the town more.
Summary: Graphics: Character models don’t look that great, the environments/atmosphere I thought was great and felt like a Silent Hill game. The creatures looked okay but in no way were they Silent Hill creatures. 8.5. Sound: It felt like Silent Hill, creepy, nice themes, annoying creatures. 10. Gameplay: The combat sucks it’s completely retarded and it just doesn’t work well.
