It's an ok collection.

Summary: It is ok. I remember playing both these Silent Hill games on the PS2 and how much I loved them, but playing the HD collection just seemed off. They really kind of messed up the graphics and sound on these games. It just didn't have the same appeal as back in the day.
Summary: If you're like me, you probably got this game because you heard how great Silent Hill 2 is and wanted to give it a try, and if you're like me, you're probably walking away with a somewhat sour taste in your mouth.
Summary: Silent Hill has a special place in my heart. The first three titles in the series are three of the best horror games ever made. The scares are pure psychological horror at it's best, and the audio work is simply amazing.
Summary: My first reaction upon starting the game was "who the hell is 'Hijinx'?" I mean, was it really that hard for Konami to snag the same studio who did the Metal Gear conversions? Apart from being an unknown game studio, their work on this translation stands for itself.
Summary: I liked the games but the HD version slows the game play down, mostly when I run pass an enemy the game will go slow. I also didn't like the new voices in both the games, some were good, but the original is diffidently better. I wish they didn't tweek it so much.
Summary: Prior to the second patch I would have given this mess 1 star (only because I couldn't give it zero). But with quite a few of the glitches fixed it has become playable. Although nowhere near the quality of the original (and with plenty of problems of its own) for those who have never played Silent...
Summary: For a few months now I've been back on the Silent Hill games...we've been separated for far too long(laughing).Anyways I was going to buy this game locally and of course the store didn't have a factory sealed copy so I chose to acquire a fresh/non shelf-worn copy of the Silent Hill HD Collection.
Summary: Stick with the XBOX 360 Version as of this writing. I happened to purchase the PS3 Version on impulse, but as of this writing, the technical issues surrounding the PS3 version are still not resolved. The main issues deal with presentation, control and frame rates.
