Summary: As a Silent Hill fan i was extremely excited to get this collection. I had seen some reviews that ranged from an awesome product to complete garbage because of the bugs and malfunctions. While playing the games I had to stop many times because it would freeze and i couldnt do anything but restart the console (I know its terrible but idk what else to do) other than that I didnt really have any problems.
Summary: So I owned this version on 360 few months ago after it came out and after I had maxed out the game with every achievement, the game became unplayable as in every time I did something that was an achievement, the game would freeze . So I decided to sell it and grab a copy of this version since Konami patched the ps3 game.
Summary: I played the originals on the first X-Box, and not only do these games represent the horror I experienced, they take it to the next level. Any reviewer who says otherwise never got the chance to complete these masterpieces on a picturetube television. This remastersed version isn't even the same game. You won't even realize the breathtaking audicity of this re-realized vision until you aquire the flashlight and say Holy $#!1 this is scary!
Summary: I’m not a Silent Hill purist. I’ve played SH1, SH2 and SH3. Silent Hill 3 being my favorite out of the bunch. With other HD Collections, the games have been re-engineered from retail copies from the games original retail disk. The code they used for the Silent Hill HD Collection was unfinished code. Apparently this built of the game was not complete and had plenty of bugs and graphical errors. I really don’t mind that they rerecorded the voices for SH2 and SH3.
Summary: I liked the games but the HD version slows the game play down, mostly when I run pass an enemy the game will go slow. I also didn't like the new voices in both the games, some were good, but the original is diffidently better. I wish they didn't tweek it so much.
Summary: Prior to the second patch I would have given this mess 1 star (only because I couldn't give it zero). But with quite a few of the glitches fixed it has become playable. Although nowhere near the quality of the original (and with plenty of problems of its own) for those who have never played Silent Hill 2 or 3 it is worth a look (but only if you've exhausted all methods of getting your hands on the ps2 versions).
Summary: i got this after playing downpour. i kinda started the silent hill series backwards lol but this collection sold me! i love the story, its creepy weird and well made. although the game itself is a bit irritating because it makes you think lol and I'm not good with thinking of strategies to take down monsters or understand the kind of puzzles they have here but i made it through it. its a great game with silent hill 2+3.
Summary: For the most part, the issues I've seen listed about this game don't exist anymore. For the most part. The fog now exists as fog instead of a wall of gray, the water in the boat scene in Silent Hill 2 now looks less like aluminum foil, the voice acting is consistently along the video, and it generally looks better.
Summary: Silent Hill,. What can anyone say the Silent hill series is a great haunting series that many enjoy, and another close genre to the resident evil series. fans of Both i dare say enjoy them all.
