Summary: I really love these new animated style 2D side-scrollers KLEI has put out. I would have liked to have seen more artistic detail in the backgrounds and some tweaks to the combat system that they learned from Mark of the Ninja would have bumped this game up a point from me.
Summary: I am genuinely impressed with Shank--a great old school action brawler with a story straight out of the Kill Bill movies. The action is very clean and fluid. It offers some basic combo moves, fitting weapons, and a few other pleasant surprises.
Summary: Good game. The art and design of the game really stood out as a strong point. The combination of the single player and co-op modes gave the game more replay-ability than most arcade games. This game was highly under rated and totally worth the money.
Summary: Yes, the gameplay gets repetitive. But Shank is a really enjoyable little game with a nice art design that deserves positive reviews. The length is little bit short (4-6 hours), but the coop-mode works well and invites to come back for more.
Summary: Good game, it worths to play it. Several awesome weaponds and creative ways to kill your kick your opponent's ass. The graphics and the history are both nice either. Problem: Gets repetitive as the time goes by.
Summary: Another game that excels with it's unique art style, but suffers a bit with hit detection issues and a bit of repetitive game play. Still the boss battles, cartoon violence and the many unlockable costumes make the game worth it's price tag.
Summary: Entertaining and well worth the $14.99 price tag. The art in this game is great, like a comic book with a controller. The content is worthy of an R rating but that's part of the fun with this game.
Summary: It starts off exciting and fun but somewhat off a steep difficulty curve, repetitive enemies and way-too-much health bosses diminish the experience not long after playing. In the end it relies on its style instead of its substance and thats a shame, I feel they could have done more with it.
Summary: I'm surprised by how mixed the reviews have been for this, its just crafted so carefully that it is a joy to play and behold. The inherent repetitive fairly simple nature of side-scrolling beat-em-ups felt like a minor niggle because each frame was a pleasure to watch.
