Conclusion: Let's face it, you play these games more for the writing than anything else, and Telltale has proven time and time again that they are at the top of the heap when it comes to witty dialogue, and this season of Sam and Max is no exception.

Excerpt: The first episode of The Devil’s Playhouse was a wonderful piece of episodic gaming. It was a fantastic start to the third season of the silly, American pop-culture sniping Sam & Max games, and I enjoyed it so much that the second episode couldn’t come soon enough. Luckily, Telltale’s traditional monthly release set-up meant that it wasn’t a too lengthy period to wait.

Excerpt: Through Xbox Live Arcade I quickly grew fond of the suit wearing dog and the naked, hyperactive rabbity thing, better known to the world as Sam & Max respectively. The previous two seasons were made up by crazy situations and characters, with such a silly level of humour that, at times, I found it difficult to keep a straight face. I was therefore delighted when Telltale Games announced this third season.
