The Saboteur PS3 Review

Console Obsession
29 May 2010
  • Excerpt: I’ve been sitting here wracking my brains over something. Possibly you can help. It’s just that I simply can’t think of a single other game that opens with a woman dancing in nipple tassels in a burlesque club filled to bursting with carousing Nazis.

Strategy Informer

  • Conclusion: The Saboteur can be both addictive and engaging, but also rather stale, all at the same time. Serious issues such as the nature of a resistance campaign, terror tactics, victory at all costs, etc... are fairly buried underneath the game's lighter tones.

The Saboteur Review

GamerNode
18 December 2009
  • Excerpt: Pandemic Studios may have fallen victim to Electronic Arts’ improved “cost structure” back in November , but before drifting loudly away on the late autumn wind, the Mercenaries and Star Wars: Battlefront series developer had one final message for Nazi Germany in its swan song title, The Saboteur .

The Saboteur Review

G4
3 December 2009
  • Summary: Developer Pandemic Studios tries to set up everything from the very beginning: a large cast of characters, deep motivation, and a bold story. The problem is that the team coasts on most of that momentum until the end of the game when they decide to tie up the story, or at least the main arc.
  • Pros: Lots of stuff to blow up, Unique setting and look, Different ways to tackle a situation
  • Cons: Bad Enemy AI, Poorly designed areas, Lots of little problems, Lacks polish/Glitches

  • Conclusion: The video games industry can be harsh. It's a cut throat business and there is no place for sentimentality or reminiscing on a glorious past. The only thing that counts are sales numbers and a game developer is never worth more than its latest title. That is true for Pandemic Studios.
  • Pros: Great atmosphere. Varied missions. Paris is an exciting city to explore. You can climb almost anywhere.
  • Cons: Lots of glitches and bugs. Terrible AI. Repetitive side missions. A lot of loading, despite installing the game.

The Saboteur

GameQuarter3
1 September 2010

  • Conclusion: Computerspilsbranchen kan være benhård.
Nogenlunde fungerende stealth-element. Nogenlunde tilfredsstillende actionsekvenser.
  • Cons: Grafikken generelt, teksturer specielt. Den manglende finish og sans for detaljerne. De mange tåbelige accenter. Ingen nytænkning. Kvantitet fremfor kvalitet.
