A real mixed bag

Frey Bentos (PSN sevenz7rkseven) "Matt", amazon.co.uk
8 April 2014
  • Summary: Lets start by saying where I'm at as a guitar player. I'm roughly grade 3 have been playing for a few years have mastered most open chords - Major, Minor, Barre, 7th etc. Scales wise i practice daily and this for me was where Rocksmith came in, i can find my own way now with rhythm, but lead is a very different beast and it was with this aspect of giutaring that i wanted to focus on, maybe with some fun along the way with some new songs and i liked the sound of the AI...

rocksmith 2014

Michael, Woolworths
28 March 2014
  • Summary: got this a while back it's not as good as the original rocksmith. And just like all rock smith games the tabs are not written by the artist who wrote the songs, the tabs are made up from some unknown American guitarist who thinks that's how the songs sound like. so the tabs to the songs sound a little out. Also don't use the guitar tuner in RS 2014 it will tune your guitar right out so best use your own electric guitar tuner if you have one.

Where did the fun go ?

Miguel Teixeira, amazon.co.uk
28 January 2014
  • Summary: Although I can understand why they have done what they have done, it is no longer a fun game but purely a learning tool. As with most learning tools they tend to be boring ! At first I thought the jam mode would be amasing but it is only slightly less tedious than playing scales over a backing track. With the first Rocksmith if I wasn't really in the mood to play I would tell myself "Just 10 minutes of Rocksmith.

Gone back to original game :(

P. Bowler, amazon.co.uk
2 November 2013
  • Summary: I played this for a few days really hoping my dislike was due to something new and me needing to adjust, it wasn't. I was really looking forward to RS2014 particularly the session (jam) mode, where an AI band allows you to play along with it, the band is supposed to follow your pace, tempo etc and adjust as per demo video, it doesn't :( The song selection is poor, this might just be my taste, so you decide.

Freezes too much.

Beanie, amazon.co.uk
12 March 2013
  • Summary: I do really like this game and it is a game. It will not teach you to play guitar. The biggest problem with the game is the amount of freezing. About 50% of the time the game freezes when trying to save. It's very annoying when you have just played a half hour gig and it won't save at the end of it. I have told ubisoft about the problem and they just blame my ps3 but a don't have problems with any other games.
