Summary: This could be a fun game but the PS3 version is an absolutely shameful port. The user interface is unnecessarily clunky, has long load times, there's significant lag time when playing songs, and it crashes so frequently, it's nearly unplayable.
Summary: This is not like guitar hero. Things get harder the more times you try the same tracks and you can't change that. Not a fan. I'm going to try traditional classes instead of this complicated thing. Not for beginners by a long shot.
Summary: Make sure you read the description and truly understand it! It says "play any guitar". That's not entirely true. You can't play a Bass guitar with it! That should be plainly written within the description!!!!! I'm so upset right now. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son.
Do not use Acoustic/Electric, not quite for beginners

Summary: This first review comes after 6 uses of the game - around 45 - 1 hour each time. It also comes from someone who hasn't taken official guitar lessons, so I was basically starting from scratch. At this initial state, I am very disappointed in the game.
Summary: I really dont know what the fuss is with this 'game' its not fun in the slightest! i have played guitar for a good 7 years, i dont consider myself to be fantastic but i know quite a bit and im competent and playing and writing a song.
Summary: I do really like this game and it is a game. It will not teach you to play guitar. The biggest problem with the game is the amount of freezing. About 50% of the time the game freezes when trying to save. It's very annoying when you have just played a half hour gig and it won't save at the end of it.
