Summary: It is a challenging game that my wife and I have fun playing. We don't like many if the song that come with Rock Band 1 and will be getting a newer version of the game soon. Getting all the instuments make this package a good deal. They can be used with all the versions and was alot cheaper to buy the pack than get them individually. I recommend Rock Band to everyone for a great party game or a game you can play with your wife, especially if she is not a gamer like mine.
Summary: I love the game and had played it several times with friends and finally caved and bought the system for myself. Now my friends come over and we have "weekly band sessions". The only problem is we don't recognize most of the songs. However I did buy Rock Band 2 afterwards and it has more songs we recognize.
Summary: I love this game. I am a PS3 RockBand2 drummer because to tell you the truth I picked them up after the guitar and did way better than with the latter. FYI, I've never played GH so I can't compare them. I love the graphics, the avators, the songs, the difficulty variations, and the sound quality. Now let me get to the bad part... the quality of the instruments is pathetic.
Summary: First off, I would like to state that the game itself is very cool. The fun factor is great. My brother and I bought this game yesterday, and have already played it for several hours. The song list is exceptional and so are the actual recordings. Here's the problem. When I first started playing I was fine. I bumped up to medium difficulty and at first was still fine. When I started missing notes earlier today, I just chalked it up to my own personal error.
Summary: This would be a great game, but we found so many flaws in just the first few hours playing it, they overwhelmed any fun we had. First, the instructions are so poorly written they are useless, and we spent the first few hours just trying to figure out how to navigate the menus. As others note, the guitar controller is horrendous, so I won't belabor that point. The microphone sent with the game did not function at all and we will have to replace it.
Summary: This game was fun but the foot pedal on the drum set broke not so long after i bought It. The guitar is also not that great. To hard to strum compared to the guitar hero controllers. Recomend Guitar hero over this any day!
Summary: Ok...Bought this after I bought Guitar Hero 3 and I was a little disappointed about Rock Band....One might think that after spending 169.00 plus to get this game that 'EVERYONE" wants and then find out it doesn't all work!!! I'm giving this a 5 star just because it looks like it will be a blast to really play and all if we can get a set that will actually work..meaning the 'DRUMS'!!!! Got everything plugged in, put together and then ready for the drums.
Summary: Let's get right down to the basics. If you are familiar with Guitar Hero, this is pretty much the same thing with an expanded play set that includes vocals and drums. Vocals are similar to the Karoke games and do require an ability to sing on key. If you like Guitar Hero and/or Karoke Revolution, you will like this game. That said, I will get on to the product advisory. 1.) The set list is HUGE.
Summary: Rock band is a great improvement over Guitar Hero games. It is fun to play however the controllers do not quite meet the expectations and can take away from your overall fun factor. My drum set had a faulty pad right out of the box and had to wait 2 weeks to get the replacement. The online replacement procedure was very simple and quick yet was too good to be true as seen in the result. Guitar controller looks and feels great, hope it does not die on me soon.
