Summary: Like every entry in the series, "Ridge Racer 7" is an arcade racer...meaning that the physics are not going to be as realistic as "Gran Turismo 5" or "Forza 3". Essentially, what you get here is unlicensed, high-speed bumper cars with a heavy emphasis on drift-based mechanics. If you can get over that hurdle, you'll find that this game holds up incredibly well for a PS3 launch title.
Summary: This game is a lot of fun and you can get very involved. The race tracks that are in this game are really nice, actually some of the nicest race circuits yet. When they come out with a new one, they should make the cars take damge when you crash. I really enjoyed this game, it’s definitely worth getting. It’s has plenty of races, so it’s not one of those games that you can just finish in a day.
Summary: you want a racing game with cool exotic cars, great graphics, and nice looking racing courses then this is it! but don't get your hopes up because if you're looking to have a racer simulation experience then forget it! the cars are really fast and drifting is unrealistic in this game. cars turn the corners like toy hot-wheel cars racing on electronic tracks and getting right back into the correct position to only speed up and continue racing like nothing happened.
Summary: Realistic type racing, where YOU are able to modify your vehicle after each event your able to win. several arena's to choose from, so once you manage to master one & think your done w/this game, guess again... There are six other courses for you to start all over again, w/a stripped factory vehicle. I recommend this game to any driving enthusiast!!!
Summary: If you like to drift, this is your game. Good controls once you make some minor adjustments and figure out just how you drift you can make good progress and win some and lose some. GREAT scenery esp in 1080p! Pretty nice cars, online is an easy connect and easy to find races to get into and works great. All in all one of the better racers I have tried.
Summary: The game is average, or slightly better. The best quality of the game is the graphics. It's also a 2 player game with a split screen. The game itself is not too challanging. It reminds me of playing a PS2 game with great graphics.
Summary: First off, this title really lives up to its namesake of Ridge Racer. It is an awesome arcade-style racing game. The graphics are great, as well as the gameplay. You can choose from a variety of cars and a seemingly endless amount of customization. The only down-side I saw with this game is that when racing on tracks at night, the tail lights from other cars tend to streak. However, the one way I found to fix this is to never be racing behind another car!
Summary: This is definitely one of the better launch titles for the PS3, boasting good graphics, gameplay, and fun. The online mode is also great, but don't expect winning any races until you become an expert. If you are debating between this and Need For Speed, consider the following: 1)In Ridge Racer, you are able to partially install the game onto the hard drive for faster loading times.
Summary: I purchased Ridge Racer 7 for the PS3 a couple of weeks ago and have had a lot of fun with it. The graphics are nice, and if you like arcade racing games, this is definately a must buy. The single player mode will keep you busy for a long time, unlocking different items that you can use on and off line. The online play is also great fun, and you can compete with players from around the world.
