Summary: The games not bad, it's one of those games you can put in and do a few races when you get bored. While I personally expected a little more, at it's core it's not really a terrible game. I would say it is average.
Summary: I won't knock this game too much...but I purchased it, tried it, and sold it again all in the same week. This was the first Ridge Racer game I've ever purchased and maybe the technology was just too old, but I found it to be like playing an old arcade game.
Summary: I think this game is a joke. The way the cars take corners are just hilariously poor. I know it's meant to be an arcade racer but this is just stupid. The graphics are good but the track detail is pretty bad (Look at the airport level. Wheres the background? It looks unfinished!).
Summary: Pros: Fast paced racing game; futuristic cars and nice graphics; drifting is fun Cons: Sound and music make your ears bleed; physics engine resembles the '90's; winning races is almost impossible Overall this is a good buy for someone who likes to see how much the PS3 can do but the game experience...
Conclusion: Some nice graphics and good music, but the game is essentially the same as previous Ridge Racers. There's also a weird effect when the nitro is activated that doesn't really give the impression of intense speed, the PSP's version of Ridge Racer is much better.
