Red Johnson's Chronicles: One Against All Review

PlayStation Universe
24 September 2012
  • Summary: Great value puzzler with a decent plot and some twists that you just won't see coming.
  • Pros: You get great bang for your buck. Up to ten hours of gameplay for $9.99 is a steal, The puzzles provide significant challenge and are very rewarding, The characters are humorous and the story has plot twists that you will never see coming
  • Cons: The difficulty of puzzles can be off-putting and poorly worded clues are even more frustrating, There is little to no replayability value after the game is completed, While the story is entertaining, it struggles to pull you in

Red Johnson’s Chronicles (PS3)

EL33TONLINE
28 June 2011
  • Excerpt: Red Johnson’s Chronicles is certainly one of the more interesting titles on PlayStation Network – for just R95 you get a jazzy, noir-ish tale of murder and deceit with beautifully rendered backdrops and challenging puzzles. Although it will take you a good five hours or so to finish, the story itself accounts for a mere fraction of that, and feels more like an episode of a crime series than a well-developed narrative.

Identity Crisis?

TotalPlayStation.com
25 June 2011
  • Conclusion: A hybrid puzzle/adventure game based on a fairly mature dark murder tale? Not what I was expecting, but it ended up as an enjoyable romp. Could be more polished, and a tough sell at four hours with no replay, but certainly a uniquely crafted experience.

Red Johnson’s Chronicles

Thunderbolt Games
20 June 2011
  • Excerpt: It’s no secret that point-and-click games have been trying to make a comeback. Developers have attempted to reinvent the genre by investing effort into graphics and setting, all of which are often overlooked as nothing has been done to reinvent the core gameplay. In walks Lexis Numerique’s Red Johnson’s Chronicles , the much needed step towards the genre’s evolution. You play as Red Johnson, a P.I.

Red Johnson’s Chronicles

Ready Up
27 June 2011
  • Summary: Red Johnson's Chronicles is ideal for people who are fans of the Monkey Island or Broken Sword series with a little bit of Heavy Rain controls thrown in for good measure. For the price of £7.99 you cant go wrong if you like picking your brain over tough puzzles. I'll admit I did require help with some of the puzzles because they can be that difficult, but you find a sense of accomplishment when you manage to figure out a tough one.

Red Johnson's Chronicles: One Against All

maniac.de
29 October 2012

Red Johnson's Chronicles: One Against All

LevelUp.com
27 September 2012
