Summary: If you were a huge fan of the open-world red-dirt Mars environment of the Red Faction: Guerilla, you might be a bit disappointed. This game is very linear and takes place in the mines of Mars, so it's dark and well... it's not red-dirt. But I would take a good linear game over a mediocre open-world game any day, and that's the case here. My problem with RF:G is that the side missions were more distracting and lacking in any personality than anything else.
Summary: I enjoyed it. Some of the boss fights were annoying, the flying parts especially. Overall, I liked the customization through the power sphere level ups. The only reason I really got this game was to get Mr. Toots. Its just too funny! If you enjoy shooters with a pretty decent, although linear storyline, then this is the game for you.
Summary: Remember everything about the previous Red Faction games, open environment, creative challenges, opportunities to complete objectives the way you want to and in the order you want to. Now get rid of all of that, and you have this version. Scripted, plodding, forced.
Amazingly fast paced game, great story, lots of foes to shoot at!!!!

Summary: Excellent game, great story, lots of foes, very fast paced. If you are like I am that detest passing hours figuring out a map or solving puzzles or being trap in a maze... then this is the game for you!!! Red Faction: Armageddon is about aiming and shooting. It has some amazing weapons and you can also do melee fighting and upgrade your abilities (some of them are pretty cool, actually like the Energy Shell, for example).
Summary: I do not know much of the Red Faction franchise, but this game is very fun to play! If you like Sci fi and killing monsters you should like this. It is going to make me look into other Red Faction games for future.
