is fine enough but the series is running out of ideas

techmannn "techmannn", Amazon
18 November 2010
  • Summary: The graphics are just great, so no complaints there whatsoever. This time the game feels a bit short and it is way too easy on the first play through. The Clank levels are great to look at but tedious -- I have to confess I didnt enjoy them at all.

Bring back the old R and C

Me Gustan Libros, Amazon
29 December 2009
  • Summary: The first three Ratchet and Clank games were near perfect platformers. They provided endless fun, entertainment, and strategy. This new one has lot's of funny cut scenes and some good action, and the graphics are stunning, but as a "game" it's just not that good.

Completely disheveled

John Browning, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: A bizarre (to me) show in the series' usually perfect executions, this game is 1) too big or 1) not organized properly 2) requires two vastly different sets of gameplay to move forward Do you like programming? I liked programming when I was 12. It was extremely challenging.

more of the same, with a few tedious innovations

J. Lethal, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: I have played and enjoyed every game in the Ratchet & Clank series, though Quest for Booty wasn't a favorite. This game has graphics as great as Tools of Destruction. It also features the same funny dialogue and top notch voice acting we've come to expect.

A Crack in the Formula

Jerry P. Danzig, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: As a longtime fan of the Ratchet & Clank games on the PlayStation, I have to say that I am quite disappointed in this second R&C PS3 game. The R&C games have always been above all easy to pick up and fun to play. Intuitive in the extreme. This latest installment is WAY too complicated.

pretty fun but could have been better

Troy Williams, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: I have played all of the R&C games and have enjoyed almost all of them (Quest for Booty was a joke). I thought that the game was pretty fun and it seemed incredibly long compared to quest for booty but it was missing some of the flair that the other games have. first the positives.

The worst of the series

S. V. Metre, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: I am a casual gamer, having played and enjoyed all the previous Ratchet games for the PS2. "Tools of Destruction" and "Crack in Time" were the 1st games I bought for the PS3 we got for Christmas this year. I was not disappointed with "Tools of Destruction", great game.

A bit disappoiting

Brian Forrester, Amazon
28 December 2009
  • Summary: I've been a big fan of the R&C games since the first. With the lone exception of Deadlocked, I've loved every single one of them. A Crack In Time is a very good game, don't get me wrong, but there just seemed to be something missing. The weapons weren't as much fun as others in the series.
