DO NOT BUY THIS GAME USED!!!! OR AT ALL

Andrew Williams, Amazon
31 May 2014
  • Summary: If you intend to use this game for online coop, be aware that you have to have the "online pass". This is a DLC you will have to download (for $10). Sony should be ashamed...I wish I hadn't purchased this game. Actions like this just kill the used game market and only serve to line the pockets of sony...

Doesn't stimulate competition.

IceFenix, Amazon
28 March 2014
  • Summary: I found it quite boring, and it didn't really stimulate competition. It might be appropriate for very young children, but not teenagers or adults.

this game is not the same

Robbie Smith, Amazon
21 December 2013
  • Summary: Like other people have stated this game sucks. It is not the same game we all came to love and anticipate the next release. The game view is different which totally killed it for me. I think I played this game for about 30 minutes and that was long enough for me to decide I hated this game. Since this game was so bad I started buying other shooter games so I guess that's my silver lining because there are some pretty good ones out there.

Glad it was free!!

Arizona-Heat, Amazon
7 October 2012
  • Summary: I received this game for free due to being a PS+ subscriber, I had a feeling it was going to be bad and my intuition was right. I have played all of the R&C games, "Tools of Destruction" is my favorite. The graphics are incredibly bad in this latest edition, except for the cut scenes. It is also very linear and repetitive. Check-marks constantly pop up with absolutely no help, you have to start over from the beginning if you don't finish the entire mission.

Quality Game Sacrificed for Trendy Concept

Jase T. Wolfe, Amazon
22 October 2011
  • Summary: Gone are the engaging and visually complex worlds, each with their many layers of game play and hidden gems all waiting for you to explore as you desire. Gone are the vast arrays of creative weapons and the ability to play your character as you see fit. Gone are the mini games - space fights, races, flights, arena battles, etc. Gone are the controls we've all come accustomed to. Gone pretty much sums it up.

Complete and utter trash!

Emilio Miguez, amazon.co.uk
30 September 2012
  • Summary: I find it impossible to believe that any of the other reviewers who rated this game as in any way good could have even played a R&C game before. It is nothing short of a complete disaster. Everyone at Insomniac who was involved with this monstrosity should be sacked and never be allowed to darken the games industry again!

AWFUL. not like the previous in the series at all

kerpeg, Play.com
1 January 2012
  • Conclusion: was looking forward to this game as i am a big fan of the ratchet and clank series but this game was extremely dissappointing. the big downfall is the fact that they have concentrated on multiplayer therefore that stops you from being able to move the camera with the R3 analog.

worst ratchet game EVER!

dodgyroge, Play.com
1 January 2012
  • Conclusion: OMG! what were they thinking? we're back to playing in a 2D world, you can't run around doing missions, or go off elsewhere - you have to follow the computer controlled camera, the right stick is now for selecting your weapons. Utter rubbish! being a huge fan of the ratchet series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, luckily i rented it and didn't have to waste my money purchasing the game!
