Summary: Of all three versions I've played, Computer, PS 2, and now PS3, I find it a much more complicated game, with fewer options than before. I really dislike the "drag" set on the "reel out, reel in" crap. That's NOT the way you actually fish. When you hook a fish and it's larger than the pound test you'r using, you give him line, sure, but you don't reel out, you let him run with the drag set, and possably losen the drag, NOT reel out.
Summary: I HATE that you have to yank the controller like you would a Wii controller... I do not know the term used for that. I did not see anything written that you would have to flail your arms around. That sucks! I just could not enjoy the game and my kids are not interested... guess it will collect dust.
Summary: This game was purchased because I enjoyed Rapala Pro Fishing on the PS2. One would assume that the new game would be an improvement over the old. That is not the case here, this game was developed for a quick buck in a empty market. The developers of this game and Activision should be ashamed of this product. I will carefully examine the reviews prior to any further Activision purchases.
Lack of Competition Makes This the Best Fishing Game on the PS3

Summary: I bought this game for my 6 year old nephew, who's really gotten into fishing over the past couple years, but usually only gets to fish when they visit grandma and grandpa over the summer. The fishing part itself is designed pretty well. My nephew was catching 29" large-mouth bass within an hour. So it must be fairly simple to pick up.
Summary: just got it it is fun but the manuel is no help when it comes to casting or driving the boat i turned like you do a car and that is how i figured it out. casting is like real fishing up and down real quik with the remote. other than having to learn pretty good fun.
Summary: well let me start by saying this is a really fun game to play. If people say it stinks dont listen too them. the controls arnt as bad as people think. i bought the game today and it only took me 10 minutes to get used to the controls. the graphics are pretty good and so is the fish variety. i only wish it had salt-water fishing but sadly it doesn't. but the fresh-water is really fun also.
