Summary: This game is overall good, but not like EA Sports. Graphics are good but little bit slow. May be Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 will better. Honestly I dont like this game very much. Its just so so.
Summary: The game itself is better than last years, i use to love playing the masters league. but for this particular year i found myself playing the become a legend mode. it could be a little addictive. other than that is the same game all over again. the graphics and the gameplay are the same except for some minor changes. the license is very annoying i really don't even bother in changing the names of the teams anymore.
Excerpt: Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is the second instalment of the long-running football simulator on the PlayStation 3. The key change in this instalment is the gameplay and the introduction of the new TeamVision system which incorporates much better AI from your team-mates. Also introduced is the "Become a Legend" mode, where you create a player and take them from their first game in a local team to the top of the world, winning medals and trophies galore as you go.
Excerpt: I generally prefer the PES games to FIFA ones, but after the calamity that was PES2008, I wasn't so sure, but sadly, PES2009 mostly confirms my fear that the PES series has gone down the pan, and FIFA really is the way to go from here on in. Any spark that the gameplay had has been mostly eradicated, for what we get here are incredibly sloppy mechanics that have been over-complicated in an attempt to match the ideas that FIFA have been kicking around.
Excerpt: Im a massive Pro Evo fan and couldn't wait to get the ltest version off the shelves. Pro Evo 2008 was great. I mastered the game completely to the point where 5 stars was way too easy! In my opinion this game only needed tweaking in certain areas to improve it. However, the gameplay is now slower, more difficult to beat a man, players turn slower and movement looks too mechanical.
Pros: Great to play online, more technical
Cons: Gameplay slower, too mechanical in player movement .
Excerpt: Good all round footy game. A must for footy fans! Especially if you are not a Fifa fan. They no longer have the master league, wish is disappointing, as you can not create your own team. However they have the become a legend option now which is not too bad, takes a little time to get used to. Graphics are good, game play slightly harder than previous versions. Online play can be a bit flakey, and takes awhile to join.
Pros: As all pro evo games playability is the best
Excerpt: A great game that any avid pro evo fan must buy in my opinion it is better than the fifa rival by a stretch and the gameplay is second to none. the become a legend mode is a great addition to the game and allows the user to take a different approach to the game, althought the master league still ist as comprehensive as fifas season mode it is still very good and the far better gameplay more than makes up for it.
Pros: great gameplay and user AI
Cons: the number of teams isnt as comprehensive as fifa and the lisecenses are still slightly annoying
Excerpt: I recently was given a Playstation 3 as an engagement present from my Bride to be, despite her insistence I wasn't getting one. So one of the first games I picked up for the PS3 was Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. I'd recently got the previous version on the Wii and while it had redeeming features, the game difficultly perhaps wasn't what it could have been.
Pros: Improved tackling and difficulty
Cons: Still doesn't have all the team names, passing is still weak
Excerpt: After playing PES 2008 everyday for 6 months at my friends house, PES 2009 became a must buy for the year. However, it seems as if Konami created a game the was many levels below the previous one, which left me diappointed the day I played the game. Konami did do good by purchasing the rights to the champions league which makes the game just a tiny but more special as well as licensing the rights to Manchester United and Liverpool football clubs.
