Summary: I really enjoy the HD graphics in this trilogy. The standard gameplay textures are very crisp and clear. The sound is just so horrible in "the sands of time" I can't play it. I have read through lots of reviews and anyone who is not deaf all agree it is ridiculous. There is a constant echo through everything. Explosions are pretty much non-existant. Dialogue is extremely low and scarabs and water effects are so lound it drowns out any background music.
Summary: I didn't take much heed of the complaints of sound issues from the other reviewers, but now I wish I had. Pretty much all of the sound effects from the Prince's movements echo during gameplay, even when there's no reason for it. All three games are plagued by this. In The Sands of Time, there are additional sound issues. For example, in the treasure vault where you first encounter spiked poles, their sound effects don't trigger until you're standing right on top of them.
Summary: Prince of Persia Trilogy (PS3) - Value for money as its trilogy pack, bit disappointed in the game play as all three games lacked the game play, smoothness and chracter movement flow as in the GOD OF WAR Games. In fact the Prince of persia game play is better on the mobile phone than on PS3 by 100 times.
Summary: The games are essentially still good value, but unfortunately, the graphics are NOT what they want You to believe. Yes, the have added effects like bump in some cases, BUT, and that is a BIG but, what made the games so great to look at was the atmospheric effects of light beams, haze, fog. You don't find any fog/haze in the HD versions, which makes the low poly count, blurry textures and bad backdrop images (horizons, clouds etc) too noticeable.
