Summary: While I love the mythos behind this game, it was a huge step back in terms of quality. Combat is stiff and non-acrobatic. Making the combat fast, fluid, and acrobatic is the very first thing to be done while making a P.O.P game.
I wish I had Sands of Time to reverse having played this game....

Summary: Don't know why the ratings for this game is always so high, it's really not that fun....at all. Basically there's five regions in this 'open world' and it's all infested by darkness. Your job is to go to every region, collect orbs, do a lot of trial and error wall running, and fight the mini boss to liberate the area of darkness. That times 8+ times, and that's the game. Combat is not fun and unvaried and you don't have a health bar because you can't die in this game.
Conclusion: But it doesn't deliver anything else really. People credit it on the original graphics, and although, yes they are very nice... this isn't really the genre or game for it. Some elements of the game are just frustrating and seemingly pointless and others work very well and made me personally want to finish it. The story is the only real storng point of this otherwise drippy game, it is told nicely, and although slightly wierd in some places finishes beautifuly.
Conclusion: I bought this for 7GBP preowned and I would never pay more than that for it. It's appaulling! The whole game all you basically to press are x and triangle, the characters are irritating, the plot is generic and thin, the gameplay is horridly repetitive, the bosses are bloody annoying, the only decent thing are the graphics are ok, but everything is outlined which is cheating anyway.
But it looked so good in the trailers!! Damn you Hype!!

Conclusion: I preordered this game beliveing that it would be as good if not better than the Sands of Time, unfortunately I was wrong. Don't get me wrong the game looks great the cell shading providing some character to game, it's the gameplay and the story which are sadly lacking. The gameplay is split into three different sections, acrobatic exploration, combat and collecting: The acrobatic sections are at times exceptional but are brought down by the reliance on magical pads and...
Conclusion: Some parts of this game are pretty breath taking. I love the cel shaded look they have used which is absolutely amazing. Ill be honest ive not played PoP game before it was an unwanted Xmas present i played through purely for the ridiculous amount of trophies. I thought at 23 i was way past getting angry at a computer game but this made me realise i really aint. So many times the character jumps the wrong way and has to be saved.
