It's meh.

  • Summary: While I love the mythos behind this game, it was a huge step back in terms of quality. Combat is stiff and non-acrobatic. Making the combat fast, fluid, and acrobatic is the very first thing to be done while making a P.O.P game.

I wish I had Sands of Time to reverse having played this game....

  • Summary: Don't know why the ratings for this game is always so high, it's really not that fun....at all. Basically there's five regions in this 'open world' and it's all infested by darkness.

  • Summary: Having been a big fan of the PlayStation 2 trilogy (sands of time, warrior within' and the two thrones)i could not wait to get my hands on the new prince of Persia, which would be the first pop of the next generation era. However the reality is that this game is a BIG disappointment. Why you ask?

Mixed Feelings

TRFB, Amazon
8 November 2010
  • Summary: I started to really like the game, until it became achingly repetitive. The graphics were REALLy nice. Taking advantage of the power of the PS3. But, the voice acting, not so good. The plot, not really original.

Suffers from the Casual Gaming Trend

  • Summary: for PlayStation 2 was an excellent puzzle/platformer with just enough action/combat to keep things interesting. It often required a keen mind and decent reflexes to get past the platforming puzzles; though it could sometimes be a little challenging, that was part of what made gameplay satisfying.

Beautiful but oh so repetitive

  • Summary: having played the previous PoP games on PC, i was looking forward to seeing how this game had translated to the newest generation consoles. style-wise it's artistic and strikingly rendered - i was impressed. unfortunately, i couldn't get over the gameplay.

Eye-Popping Graphics + Dreadful Gameplay = P of P

Twins Daddy, Amazon

  • Summary: If there was ever a video game that fully demonstrates how super-duper eye candy by itself does NOT make a 5-star game, well, let me introduce you to Prince of Persia...THE standard! And while we're at it, just WHO was the target audience for this dreadful game???

Boring and safe

S. Parker, Amazon
5 February 2009
  • Summary: This felt like a watered down version of the previous pop games. Sure the graphics are great but taking a tour through some sappy sci-fi scenery isn't why I was looking forward to this game. Buy this game if you are into mindless repetition and one liners that MIGHT make a 6 yr. old laugh.

Easy, cheesy, and queasy.

Amazon Customer "mib918", Amazon

  • Summary: PLEASE take my word for it. GOOD storyline. That's it. It is not interesting to play otherwise. The game tells you where to go and what to do. The bad guys are all easy and killed almost the exact same way. I felt like I was playing it on auto-piolit for hours.
