Playstation Home (PS3): Playstation Home: Is it too much?
11 December 2011
Summary: I loved the idea of playstation home as it was a complete virtual world where you could reinvent your self and be the person you wanted to be, but is this fakery really what people want. it was a great idea that you could go online meet up with your friends chat walk about and play a variety of games, but in order to access each area you need to download more data, in order to "fit in" you need to either spend money or spend a lot of time completing challenges, in such a...
Summary: Playstation home i think is a alright feature. Of course you need PSN to acces this but if have got it then it can be fun for a while but then it gets a bit broing i think. Basically all it is, is a interactive world where you start at a house and you exit to meet people and get invlived in activities witch are not many. You can buy extra things for you Home like player accessories new features but if i was you i would not pay for things on the feature.
Summary: You will need to have Playstation Network if you want to access this feature. You create a character, a virtual you or whoever you want. You customize them, appearance, clothes etc...There are lot's of customization options that let you customize your character to the way you want him or her to look. You can also decorate your house. The Playstation Home is great for socializing. You can talk to friends, meet new friends and play games with other people.
Playstation Home (PS3): Not cheap if you want to see it all
4 September 2010
Summary: Playstation home is an interesting beast. On the one hand its a revolutionary social networking tool allowing any user on the playstation network to interact in a 'sims' style virtual world. These meeting take place in a very convincing and immersive collection of areas from flying school to shopping malls, movie theatres, mini games and apartments. One the other hand its a huge money pit, endlessly offering you chances to spend huge amounts in small increments.
Pros: Massive world full of glorious detail. Great online chess
Summary: PlayStation Home is a great idea, but one that has been poorly implemented by Sony due to their insistence to not charge players, most of whom would probably be willing to pay a few quid if it meant our service were as refined as the brilliant service on Xbox Live. Home is a vast third-person world created by Sony in which you can control an avatar of your creation, meet with other players, and do things like watch films together and play mini-games like bowling.
Summary: After all that waiting PS3 Home was here but it was not completed it was the beta version. PS3 Home is a virtual world where you create your character and socialise with other PS3 Home users across the world by playing games such as snooker and bowling. When you first go to PS3 Home Beta you will have to personlise your character any way you want like eye colour, hair style and even what t-shirt you want to where in the virtual world.
Playstation Home (PS3): Sony's virtual world on the PS3
6 August 2009
Summary: Playstation home was the long awaited virtual environment produced by Sony for the Playstation 3. It's free to download & play the main program (doesn't take too long) and subsequent sections are downloaded whilst in game. You're first asked to create an avatar to represent you in the world, it's pretty customisable and there are a range of free clothes and items you can choose from.
Pros: It's free, constantly updated
Cons: Expensive in-game items, bit boring after a while
Summary: Playstation Home is a virtual world developed exclusively for the Playstation 3, is it really good enough to be your second home? First of all you will have to download Playstation Home which is free, all is well so far. Once you have selected to download it from your Playstation XMB you will have around 200mb of data to download but Home will reserve a massive 4GB of hard drive space for itself, which is pretty significant if you are using a 40GB or even 60GB...
Pros: Free, some fun stuff to do, have to buy clothes/items
Summary: Its still a beta. Come on. Yes, it currently kinda sucks. Yes, its pretty boring. Yes, Sony has yet to deliver what they promised, like video sharing. But its not as if were looking at the final product. And for what Home currently is -- its amazing. Most gamers are accustomed to Xbox Live. So, if you were a dev team at Sony, and you were tasked with creating a community that blew Live out of the water... what would you come up with?
